May 30: Locally Grown Turkey Dinner

Celebrate Thanksgiving in summertime with this turkey dinner from Madison Kitchen's Austin Hu and Farmonize. They are showcasing their locally grown, free-range, hormone/antibiotic/cruelty free turkey (which must be ordered six months in advance for actual Thanksgiving, aka right about now). Try the birds out this week with all the sides and trappings.

May 31: Leo Kalyan

UK musician and vocalist Leo Kalyan deals in emotive, atmospheric beats that bridge a gap between dreampop and dance music. Kalyan grew up studying Indian classical music, which is a huge influence on his style along with trip-hop and R&B like Massive Attack. May 31: Unravel: Lost in Translation 

Storytelling night Unravel teams up with the Shanghai Literary Review for their latest event, with the theme of Lost in Translation. Participants will share stories about misunderstandings, confusion, displacement and missed connections. SLR will debut their essay and photo book Concrete, and the event also serves as the opening of the Parlour, an F&B concept by Sam Norris in Columbia Circle.

Jun 1: Hedgehog

Jun 2: Ladies Who Tech

Ladies Who Tech host their inaugural convention in Shanghai, with a full day of conferences and talks to advocate for women working in STEM industries. Jun 2: Super Penguin: World Football Legends vs China Legends

Tencent puts together a dream team of some of yesteryear's best football players from around the world to battle it out against some of China's own football legends. The World Legends team includes Manchester United treble winning duo Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs, World Cup winner and free kick master Roberto Carlos, Italian legend Andrea Pirlo and recently retired Barcelona defender Carles Puyol. Jun 2: Chaiti Art Festival

An annual event organized by the Consulate General of India to celebrate the start of summer, the Chaiti Art Festival showcases major names in Indian performance art, like sitarist Ustad Shujaat Khan. Jun 2: 12th Planet

Named after a book by pseudoscientist Zecharia Sitchin, Los Angeles-based 12th Planet was one of the first producers to popularize dubstep in the US.
