WATCH: Woman Rejects Lamborghini Proposal in China
By Matthew Bossons
While most marriage proposals involve a ring, and possibly some Champagne and flowers, a man in Hunan province decided to take his declaration of eternal love to the next level: presenting his beloved with a Lamborghini.
The over-the-top proposal happened in Changsha, Hunan’s capital, and was captured on video. In footage circulating online, the man, who is holding a large bouquet of flowers outside what appears to be a mall, asks who we presume his girlfriend to marry him, presenting her with a shiny new Lambo.
Some online sources have stated that the woman is a foreigner, and at one point in the video she can be heard speaking to the man in English.
In the video, the woman refuses his proposal, and from there shit gets weird. In an act of cringe-worthy desperation the man shouts, “I have money” to his beloved. Unfortunately, as the old saying goes, money does not by happiness – or in this case, love.
Holding the woman’s arm, the distraught man screams, “I can buy as many of these cars as you like. I can buy whatever you want!” In response, the woman tells her suitor, “You have money, so what?”

And with that, the not-so-gentleman officially loses his cool, tossing the flowers before flailing around as several men hold him back. The woman then disappears in to the crowd and the upset man trashes a product display set up outside the mall.

Social media users were less than impressed. One Weibo user wrote, “With his bestial temper, will he seek revenge on the girl for rejecting him? She must be careful.”
Other netizens took a more philosophical approach.
“You must become an outwardly rich but inwardly talented person,” said another commenter.
Whatever your opinion on the failed proposal, you have to admit that love unrequited is always a sorry sight.
