Chinese Rap Group Disses US Rapper Lil Pump in New Track
By Bryan Grogan
CD Rev, the nationalist rap group from Chengdu who made their name dissing Sweden in September, are back. This time they take aim at US rapper Lil Pump with their new track ‘FXXX Lil Pump,’ after he made a racist reference to Chinese people in a recent song.
Pump is currently mired in controversy after the release of ‘Butterfly Doors.’ The song features some ill-chosen words in reference to Chinese people. In one line of the new track, he sings: “They call me Yao Ming, coz my eyes real low (ching chong).” In the video, which has since been pulled from YouTube, Lil Pump also pulls his eyes back in a disrespectful attempt to replicate the Asian visage.
CD Rev’s song is, as you might expect, jam-packed with insulting zingers aimed at Lil Pump, like “your head looks like a UFO,” and, in a less savory line, “you don't know anything about our history, coz you a nation of immigrants.”

CD Rev were not the only people to take aim at Lil Pump in reaction to his insensitive lyrics. China Mac, a Chinese-American rapper posted a video response to his Instagram account. “You going put some respect on my fucking culture, on my motherfucking people,” said China Mac, who is visibly angry in the video.
