By Ryan Gandolfo
On December 18, a 6-year-old boy’s unsavory antics led to a sizeable fire in a shopping mall in Nanjing.
According to Look Look News, the boy picked up a lighter and proceeded to burn a scrap of paper which, lo and behold, went on to ignite nearby boxes, leading to a big fire.

Luckily for everyone in the area, several civilian ‘firefighters’ took swift action and tried to fight it.
Eventually the flames were put out, after charring 2 square meters of space. No one was injured during the tussle with the red hot flames.

According to Morning Information Station, most of the goods damaged in the fire were computer equipment.
The child’s mother, who is a nearby shopkeeper, apologized for the damage and has already reportedly punished the boy for his hazardous folly.
