In 2019, Bangkok the capital city of Thailand will face a big transformation as an election will be hold after 7 years of military government controlled and the coronation of the king rama 10. Thailand will step into a new era. Land of smiles, beautiful nature and resources. We are known for Food, Sex, Beaches, Ladyboy and Ghost. These are common stereotype when people think of Thailand. In this special tour with Tentacles. You will experience Bangkok more than ordinary tour will take you. 今年年初我因工作机会到访曼谷。站在市中心，如果忽略语言的不同，闷热潮湿的天气、挤在一起的高架桥和购物中心会让你觉得和广州相差无几。在离开前一天，我探访了曼谷的非营利艺术机构。傍晚时分，Tentacles的朋友为我叫了一辆出租摩托车，我马上意识到这种在曼谷和珠三角都存在的交通工具，是观察曼谷街头的最佳方式。不久我就开始感受到吹在脸上滚烫的热浪，从商业中心穿入唐人街，最后辗转在老城街道时。我发现高度商业化并没有抹去曼谷的过去，这个城市没有一个统一意志，新和旧都互不相让。这让曼谷显得相当“巨大”。

Earlier this year I visited Bangkok for work reasons. Standing in the center of the city, if you ignore the difference in language, all the other things- the hot, humid weather, the crowded viaduct and the shopping malls- can make you feel like Guangzhou. The day before I left, I visited a nonprofit art institution in Bangkok. At dusk, a friend from Tentacles called me a rental motorcycle. I realized immediately this kind of transportation, which can be both found in Bangkok and the Pearl River Delta, was the best way to understand the streets of Bangkok. It wasn't long before the heat waves blows in my face as I travelled across the commercial center into Chinatown, and finally found myself strolling on the streets of old city. I learnt that the high degree of commercialization did not eliminate Bangkok's past. The city did not have a consolidated will. The old city does not give in, and neither does the new. This makes Bangkok seem "huge".

与之相反，我认识的艺术家和Ta们操持的机构往往只从十分肉身的角度开始工作。

In contrast, artists I know and the institutions operated by them tend to start their work from a rather physical point of view.

Henry (Tentacles的创始人之一)说，Tentacles一开始只想通过引入驻地项目，让曼谷的年轻艺术家摆脱自言自语。更不用说Napat在家里商店楼上开的项目空间了，那条街道会在周末变成步行街。他和朋友们会在门口一边卖炸鸡，一边卖作品。这种灵活的身姿不禁让我想起，泰国作为东南亚唯一未被严格意义上殖民过的国家，它的皇室和政府在战争中以退为进、左支右绌的历史，以及延续至今的街头政治，这是一个吵吵杂杂的现代化过程。

One of the founders of Tentacles, Henry, says by introducing a residency project, Tentacles only wanted to lure the young artists of Bangkok out of their own soliloquy. And there was the project space opened by Napat above his home store, in a street that becomes a pedestrian street during the weekend. He and his friends would sell fried chicken at the doorway, and their work. The flexibility of it reminds me of Thailand. As the only country in Southeast Asia that has never been colonized in a strict sense, its royal family and government had a history of retreating for the sake of advancing, tackling one problem while aggravating another, and the street politics was also its signature that continues to this day. It certainly has been and still is a noisy and miscellaneous modernization process.

在暴走6个多小时后，我回到Napat的“Sangnuallap”楼顶，用蹩脚的英文跟他畅谈了一夜。黑暗中我看到建筑拥挤在街道两旁，楼下有一群赤膊年轻人在大声喝酒。他说他父亲很喜欢和到访的艺术家合照。我想，几个月后我会重回到这个吵吵闹闹的地方，看看Ta们怎么拥抱这个吵杂的城市，和如何在街道中左右逢源的。

After walking for more than six hours, I went back to the rooftop of Napat's Sangnual lap and talked to him all night with my lousy English. I saw buildings crowded along the street in the dark. A group of shirtless young men were drinking and talking loudly downstairs. He said his father enjoyed taking pictures with visiting artists. I remembered thinking, in a few months I will be back in this noisy place to see how they embrace this noisy city and how they get around in the streets.

Tentacles自成立之初便以驻地项目作为主要工作方式。2016年底阿亮在广东时代美术馆榕树头空间驻地期间，黄边站就开始与其接洽建立机构间交换驻地的可能。2019年驻地计划终于落地，艺术家李致恿将于5-6月在位于曼谷的Tentacles驻留，同时他也将作为“曼谷团”的领队之一参与到该项目中。

Since it was founded, Tentacles has used residency as its main working method. At the end of 2016, during Henry's residence at Banyan Commune, Guangdong Times Museum, HB Station began to contact them to discuss the possibility of exchanging residency. In 2019, our residency project finally landed. Artist Li Zhiyong will stay at Tentacles in Bangkok from May to June, and he will also participate in the project as one of the coordinators of the "Bangkok Tour".

“旅行社第二回”承诺不收取团费、导游费，此行程安排广州及目的地的免费往返直通高铁票／飞机票，或与之同等价值的差旅费。团友需要自理行程中的住宿费用、餐费及其他消费。

Travel Agency Project Round 2 promises not to charge any tour expense or guide fee. We provide free round-tripair tickets/high-speed rail tickets between Guangzhou and the destination, or travel expense of the same value. Participants need to pay for their own accommodation, meals and other expenses during the trip.

1.这不是常规的旅行团，而是由艺术家自发组织的艺术项目，可能会跟您的期待稍有不同。

This is not "regular" tourism, but a self-organizing art project. It could be slightly different from your expectation.

2.报名参与者视同默认本次活动规则。鉴于户外活动都存在不可控性，个别行程我们要求参与者购买旅游保险并正确评估行程安全性。

Participant signed up would be presumed to have given their consent to the rules of this trip. In view of the uncontrollable nature of outdoor activities, certain parts of this trip require participants to purchase travel insurance and properly evaluate the safety of individual trip.

3.参与者需提供真实姓名、电话。

Participants are required to provide their real name and phone number.

4.若因不可抗力因素，如堵车、坏车、天气原因导致行程中断，领队需另做相应安排。

If the trip is interrupted due to force majeure factors such as traffic jams, vehicle breakdown or weather, the coordinator needs to make corresponding arrangements.

If you need to withdraw or leave the tour midway, please communicate with the coordinator in advance.
