State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE) news, inFebruary, the banksettlement of foreign exchange was 747.4 billionyuan, the sale offoreign exchange was 816.8 billion yuan, a deficit of69.4 billion yuan. From January to February, the bankaccumulated settlement of foreign exchange was 1.5857 trillion yuan, thecumulative sales of foreign exchange was 1.7873 trillion yuan, a cumulativedeficit of 201.5 billion yuan. In February, the supply and demand of China'sforeign exchange was basically balance, cross-border capital flows in the mainchannels have improved, the economic fundamentals of a balanced trend of China'scross-border capital flows are more solid.

THE PEOPLE’S BANKOF CHINA (PBC) news, on March 16th, PBC’sreverse repurchase and MLF bid rate went up 10BP again. PBC relevant person in charge said that,the bid rate going up this time is the result of market bidding.
