6 Themes, 10-Week Camps

在这个艺术营中，学生们会探索传统印度文化，创作其绘画风格。两个年龄组都会重点学习不同类型的传统文化，从坦贾武尔风格的绘画到通过艺术家Jivya Soma Mache学习沃利部落艺术。5岁以上儿童均可报名参加这期假期营。

During the Art Camp, students will explore traditional Indian culture and create the style of painting. Two age groups will focus on different types of traditional cultures, from Tanjore style paintings to Warli tribe Art through Jivya Soma Mache’s paintings. This camp is open to 5 years old and plus students for registration. 

大年龄组的学生们-将探索创作坦贾武尔绘画。这种艺术在公元16世纪的纳亚克王朝，在坦贾武尔镇开创的。

For Older Group, students will explore and create a Tanjore style painting. This Art was inaugurated from the town of Thanjavur (anglicized as Tanjore) during the Nayak dynasty around 1600 AD.

这是典型印度南部绘画风格，其特点是丰富，生动的颜色，简单标志性的构图，闪闪发光的金箔覆盖在精致但广泛的石膏作品上，镶嵌着玻璃珠和玻璃片或者是非常罕见的珍贵和不太珍贵的宝石。

It is a classical South Indian painting style, being characterised by rich and vivid colors, simple iconic composition, glittering gold foils overlaid on delicate but extensive gesso work and inlay of glass beads and pieces or very rarely precious and semi-precious gems.

坦贾武尔绘画面向神圣的形象，大部分绘画描绘的是印度教神，女神，主要是讫里什那和圣徒。

A Tanjore paint is turned towards the divine iconography; most paintings depict Hindu gods and goddesses mainly Krishna as well as saints.

坦贾武尔绘画是面板绘画，在木板上完成，因此当地的说法是 palagai padam。

Thanjavur paintings are panel paintings done on wooden planks, and hence referred to as palagai padam in local parlance.

学生们会根据传统步骤制作坦贾武尔绘画

Students will make a Tanjore painting step by step with traditional procedures in details. 

小年龄组的学生们－不仅会探索坦贾武尔绘画，而且会根据艺术家 Jivya Soma Mashe的绘画探索沃利部落艺术。

For Younger Group, students will explore not only Tanjore style painting but also Warli tribe Art through Jivya Soma Mashe's paintings. 

印度的沃利部落使用非常简单的形式制作艺术品，描绘了打猎，跳舞，播种，丰收，大部分都是画在他们的墙上。沃利部落只用白色颜料画画，颜料是由迷糊，胶和水制作而成。

The Warli Tribe from India uses very simple forms to make their Art which depicts hunting, dancing, sowing, and harvesting, and is normally painted on their mud walls.
The Warli only use white for their paintings made from rice paste, gum and water.

Warli paintings

沃利画是一种部落艺术，主要由来自印度North Sahyadri山脉的部落人民创造。沃利绘画直到20世纪七十年代才被发现，即使这种艺术风格据说可以追溯到公元十世纪。

Warli painting is a style of tribal art mostly created by the tribal people from the North Sahyadri Range in India. The style of Warli painting was not recognised until the 1970s, even though the tribal style of art is thought to date back as early as 10th century A.D.

沃利艺术家用土屋作为画的背景，跟古人用洞穴作为画布的方式很相似。

Warli artists use their clay huts as the backdrop for their paintings, similar to how ancient people used cave walls as their canvases.

基本的壁画需要用到-

一系列基本的几何图形：圆形、三角形和方形。这些图形代表了大自然中各种元素。

Rudimentary wall paintings use- 

a set of basic geometric shapes: a circle, a triangle, and a square. These shapes are symbolic of different elements of nature.
