Women's Day Events | How European Firms in China Embrace Equity
International Women's Day originates from the feminist movements that took place in Europe and the Americas in the early 20th century and has been celebrated for over 100 years, through which women's rights in the workplace and life have been increasingly emphasised. This year, it is celebrated under the theme Embrace Equity, calling on all people to participate in gender equity and work together to achieve an inclusive world.
As leaders in promoting sustainable business development, European companies also bring their company cultures to China when setting up operations. An important facet of their efforts to promote diversity and inclusion (D&I) in the workplace is increasing the share of women in business, an area where European companies are especially well-placed to foster progress in China.
To mark International Women’s Day, the European Chamber will host a webinar on 7th March to discuss the challenges and practices regarding promoting workplace gender equity and share experiences in overcoming the barriers.
The European Chamber Beijing Chapter, South China Chapter and Southwest China Chapter will also organise offline roundtable or workshop on 7th March after the national webinar. Please follow the QR codes below for more information and register.
