Sports themed branch of Hangzhou Public Library is a modern library, emphasizing the integration of reading related to health and fitness, on-site sports expereicne and social cooperation. It is actively extending their services outside the library by cooperating with different sports organizations and setting up sub-branches to offer more free service.

杭图运动分馆自开放以来，以“体验感受、交流互动、知识传播”的服务手段，广泛吸纳社会力量，整合社会资源，促进民间体育运动交流和体育运动知识传播。体育是世界人类通用语言之一，通过运动的交流可以拉近在杭国际友人与杭州市民的距离，让世界了解杭州、了解中国。为了让更多的国际友人享受到杭州图书馆提供的文化知识服务，为了以实际行动支持2022年杭州亚运会的顺利举办，杭图运动分馆联手民间组织Hangzhou Expat、杭图运动分馆馆外体验点，组织策划开展杭城国际运动体验系列活动。

杭图运动分馆馆外体验点：
运动分馆积极整合社会资源，将服务延伸至馆外，在社会运动场馆建立馆外体验点13家，市民读者可在馆内及馆外体验点通过专业教练的指导免费体验运动项目、感受运动魅力、学习专业知识。杭州钱塘弓社、水尚皮划艇运动俱乐部、杭州市高尔夫运动训练中心、杭州仁武堂文化创意公司4家馆外体验点作为首批国际运动体验积极参与该项活动中。
