Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport has introduced a batch of intelligent services for passengers, according to a Qianjiang Evening News report yesterday.
Passengers without baggage can get on plane without paper boarding cards in the future. Currently the passengers have to go to check-in counters or security gates to get a boarding card.
In the future, all they have to do is to log onto the official WeChat account of Hangzhou Airport, and check in on the WeChat account to receive a QR code, show the QR code at the security of the airport and after checking, security guards will stamp a digital seal on the QR code. Then show the QR code with the digital stamp when boarding a plane.
It is expected that the service will be available by end of the year.
The Hangzhou Frontier Inspection Station has introduced talking robots, self-service clearance passages, declaration form printers, and an intelligent airport command system to speed up custom clearance. It takes about 20 seconds for frequent passengers to clear custom by themselves.
Vehicles installed with the ETC (electronic toll collection) system are able to use the system at Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport. In addition, drivers can also pay parking fees with Alipay or Apps on mobile phones.
