A pensioner has been caught on CCTV hilariously flailing to the ground trying to pull off a cash-for-crash scam in China.
The elderly man was filmed targeting cars in Shanghai, theatrically throwing himself into them to make it look like he'd been struck.
In the footage, the shameless fraudster walks alongside a red BMW as it passes from his right side, measuring the distance between himself and the car.

He is caught on CCTV pretending to be injured on the ground after theatrically launches himself to the floor
Additional footage showed the elderly man targeting a black saloon car in the exact same location.
The clip shows the pensioner throwing himself against the left side of the car as it drives past the same narrow road, before collapsing to the ground.
It is unclear whether the pensioner was ever fined or arrested after his scam attempts were exposed.
