If you were asked to work:

• Jan 24, Jan 28 - Jan 30 (rest day)

200% of normal salary

• Jan 25 - Jan 27 (statutory holiday)

300% of normal salary

Jan 31 - Feb 2

Extended Chinese New Year Holiday

If you are asked to work, should get 200% of normal salary

Feb 3 - Feb 9

Postponement of work resumption

* It is Feb 3 - Feb 9 and Feb 10 - Feb 13 for Hubei province as it is the center of the coronavirus epidemic

• Feb 3 - Feb 7 (work day)

100% of normal salary

• Feb 8 - Feb 9 (rest day)

200% of normal salary

Shanghai is special, they take the period between Feb 3 and Feb 7 as rest day, so you get 200% of normal salary if asked to work.

• Many people call it holiday, but it is not extra paid leave, you need to work or ask for leave

• As you are not allowed to go to the workplace to work, so you may take tasks assigned by the employers and work at home. Many IT companies use remote work and for teachers, you may be asked to do online teaching

• For some industries, if can't do anything at home, the employer may ask you to use your annual leave or take it as personal leave

• Usually it takes time for the company to get approval from the government to use the workplace. If you are a teacher (public school or training school), it is no ealier than February 17 (for some province like Zhejiang, Suzhou it is no earlier than the end of February), so you are supposed to work at home.

If my company suspended production or operation, will I get paid ?

Yes, if it is less than 30 days, then you can get normal salary.

If can't go to workplace to work due to traffic control or the 14 days self quarantine at home, can employer take it as absent of duty ?

No, the epidemic is a force majeure.

If I get infected, or I am a suspected patient treated in hospital, how much will I get paid ?

Different cities varies, you can get normal salary or sick leave salary

If infected because of the work, it is work related injury
