阿尔山国家森林公园于2000年2月经国家林业局批准成立，2017年2月晋升为国家5A级旅游景区，2017年5月晋升为世界地质公园。是内蒙古自治区倾力打造的旅游第一品牌，也是阿尔山旅游区的核心景区。
Arxan National Forest Park is established in February 2002 approved by State Forestry Administration of China. It becomes a national 5A-level scenic spot in February 2017 and UNESCO Global Geopark in May 2017. Arxan National Forest Park is a top brand in tourism of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region as well as a core scenic spot in Arxan scenic area.
★有人说：阿尔山天池是一块晶莹的蓝宝石，镶嵌在大兴安岭的山峰之上。
“The Arxan Heavenly Lake is a pure sapphire that is beset on the Greater Khingan Range.” Tourists said.
★有人咏赞三潭峡：“神奇灵秀三潭峡，清泉汩汩绕山崖。喷珠溅玉何处去，魂系遥遥东海家。”
Someone wrote a poem for the Santan Gorge. “So marvelous and striking the Santan Gorge is. Mountain streams flow in it. Whither goest thou, water splash? To the East China Sea that I have dreamed.”
★有人说：地池是“仙女池”，像一块碧蓝的月亮宝镜镶嵌在原始森林之中，景色十分优美。
“The Arxan Earthly Pond is a lake of fairy. It is like a clear blue moonlike mirror decorated in the primeval forest. The scenery of Arxan Earthly Pond is so beautiful.” Tourists said.
★有人说：走进石塘林就像走进天然、完整的火山熔岩地质博物馆。
“Walking into the Shitang Lin Forest is like walking into a natural geological museum of volcanic rocks.” Tourists said.
★有人赞叹杜鹃湖：“神女新浴幽谷香，金针巧为织女绣，素笔遥寄化春雪，杜鹃湖畔舞霓裳。
“The Azalea Lake is a goddess just out of the shower. She embroiders beautiful patterns with golden pine tree needles. She writes to god of spring with a pen of snow. And she dances by the lake in a long silk robe.” Someone praised.
★有人说：驼峰岭天池神秘秀美，时而像蓝宝石纯净而深邃；时而宛如少女娴静文雅。
“The Camel Hump Mountain Heavenly Lake is like a mystery. It is sometimes profound and pure like sapphire, sometimes elegant and quiet like a lady.” Tourists said.
★有人说：大峡谷是一处理想的避暑胜地，峡谷中怪石嶙峋，飞瀑跌落，云雾蒸腾，奇景众多。
“The Arxan Grand Canyon is an ideal summer resort with waterfalls, stone in various shapes and mist-shrouded views.” Tourists said.
★也有人在说：“我想变成一只鸟儿，展开翅膀飞翔在阿尔山国家森林公园的上空，飞到我想去的地方，看到我想看到的美景，去欣赏这里的森林、草原、火山、温泉、河流、湖泊、高山、湿地……我眼前的这个世界。”
Also someone said: “ I want to be a bird flying freely in the sky over the Arxan National Forest Park. I can fly to the places where I would like to go and enjoy the remarkable sceneries that I would like to see. I can see the forest, grassland, volcanoes, hot springs, streams, lakes, mountains, wetlands and other things here from the sky. I can feel the world in front of me.”
