Dear friends, welcome to the Pengzhou Area of the Giant Panda National Park. An impressive forest patrol is about to start here.
这次行动的主要任务是寻找保护区大熊猫的踪迹，取回红外相机的数据，为相机更换电池，并对区域内大熊猫的活动进行观测，追踪它们的脚印和粪便，取得标本并带回分析。
The task is aimed to look for the traces of the giant pandas in the reserve, retrieve the data in the infrared cameras set here, replace the batteries of the cameras, observe what the pandas do in their habitat, track their footprints, discover their feces, and collect specimens for analysis.

2000年5月12日，大熊猫的身影第一次出现在彭州人的视线之中。2022年7月1日，大熊猫国家公园彭州管护总站工作人员在整理野外红外相机存储卡信息时，又发现了一只野生成年大熊猫出没影像。
On May 12, 2000, a wild panda was seen in Pengzhou, about 40 kilometers away from downtown Chengdu, for the first time. On July 1, 2022, a staff member of the Giant Panda National Park's Pengzhou Management and Protection Station found an image of a wild adult panda, while sorting out the data in the infrared cameras.
据统计，这一片区域内现在生活着7只大熊猫，栖息地面积1万多公顷。
According to statistics, there are now 7 giant pandas living in this habitat, which covers an area of more than 10,000 hectares.
当然，即便没有遇到大熊猫，其他森林小可爱也会给你惊喜。
Of course, even if you don't run into any panda, many other adorable creatures in the forest will surprise you.
这片山区保存有植物1770余种、野生动物331种。其中，包括国家I、II级重点保护动植物珙桐、大熊猫、林麝、金雕、绿尾虹雉等50余种。
There are more than 1,770 species of plants and 331 species of wild animals in this mountainous area, of which over 50 are under state level-I and level-II protection, including Chinese dove tree, giant panda, forest musk deer, golden eagle and Chinese Monal.
这次清林巡护行动为期三天，巡护线路是从水黄桶到铁瓦殿，路程近20公里，海拔从1100米到3420米左右。
The patrol will last for three days, with a route from Shuihuangtong to Tiewadian, stretching nearly 20 kilometers, at an altitude of 1,100 to 3,420 meters.
请你做好准备，大熊猫国家公园彭州片区可以算是中国最难爬的山之一了。全程没有道路，基本都在峡谷和丛林中穿行。山体的坡度大多在70度以上，只有依靠绳索才能翻越山岭。
Please get everything ready! The Pengzhou reserve of the Giant Panda National Park is one of the hardest mountains to climb in China. There isn’t any trail or natural path in the mountain. You can walk and climb along canyons and jungles. The slope of the mountain is mostly above 70 degrees, and you can cross over it just by rope.

So far, more than 100 countries throughout the globe have adopted the National Park System. Sichuan, known as a "Treasure House of Biodiversity," is one of the gene pools of precious species in China and in the world. The province has about 300 species of wild animals under state key protection, including the giant panda, Sichuan golden monkey and snow leopard. Its number of wild giant pandas has been 1,387, accounting for 74.4% of the national total.
成都是全球唯一拥有野生大熊猫和圈养大熊猫资源的超大城市，也是国内唯一拥有国家公园的省会城市。成都市拥有省会城市中最大的海拔高差，独特的地理条件和丰富的生物多样性资源提供了大熊猫繁衍生息的优渥环境。近年来，成都依托全域大熊猫资源，以大熊猫国家公园体制试点为契机，加快理顺区域保护管理体制机制，统筹整合大熊猫生态文化资源，聚力打造生物多样性保护高地。
Chengdu is the one and only megacity in the world with both wild and captive pandas, and the one and only provincial capital city in China with a national park. The city, among all Chinese provincial capitals, has the largest altitude difference, unique topography and landform, as well as ample biological resources, providing a favorable environment for giant pandas to thrive. Over the recent years, Chengdu, making full use of its abundant panda resources and the pilot plan for the giant panda National Park System, has been accelerating its pace of regional protection and management, and coordinating the integration of giant panda ecological and cultural resources, to build itself into a national model of biodiversity protection.
2021年10月，全球瞩目的2020年联合国生物多样性大会（第一阶段）在云南昆明召开。人不负青山，青山定不负人。全球生物多样性治理进程全新开启。
In October 2021, the 2020 United Nations Biodiversity Conference, known as COP 15 took place in Kunming, capital city of Southwest China’s Yunnan province. "If we do not fail Nature, Nature shall never fail us." The event has injected fresh impetus into global biodiversity governance.
