Living a moderately prosperous life：
Chinese people’s dream and its realization
Comparing with the life in your own homeland, you may regard Chinese people’s life as prosperous or not so good, or even very poor. Contrasting Chinese people’s present level of living against theirs in the past, however, you would be sure to say they are living an extremely prosperous life. As Rome was not built in a day, China’s moderate prosperity is not achieved overnight either. The coming speech will highlight the stories of China and its development.
The speaker Dr. He Wu is a professor with College of Foreign Languages, Southwest University. Prof. He has been teaching courses concerning English language and western cultures, and doing researches into foreign language teaching. Prof. He once spent one year and ten months respectively in Germany and the U.S.A as visiting scholar. He tends to have a global watch over things around, he is earnest to hear voices from other cultures, and he likes to tell stories about China to foreign friends.
