教材分析

本课所上内容是牛津译林版高中英语模块二第三单元Task部分的第一课时。

本单元的话题是amazing people,通过前面amazing people的文本输入,过渡到本单元的听力输入,让学生进一步以听的方式获取与amazing people有关的信息,为后续写的任务做准备。


教材编者通过各种形式数字的呈现,帮助学生熟悉数字,这有助于提高听的准确性和记录数字信息的有效性。教材中第一段材料要完成的任务是简单的数字,第二段材料是将数字与其他相关信息结合起来对学生进行训练,第三个任务是根据听力信息完成广告,这样的设计体现了教材的层次性。
设计理念
以“任务型”教学为理论基础;以教学内容德育化、生活化和时代感为基本原则;以环环相扣、层层递进的教学活动为主线,全面提高学生听说技能及渗透社会主义核心价值观。
教学目标
After this period, the students are able to:1. pay attention to the numbers around us2. know about the different types of numbers and pronounce them correctly3. improve their skills of listening to numbers in the context4. work hard to make their dreams come true

设计特色
两根主线贯穿教学始终:
技能主线是关注数字、学习数字、听取数字及相关信息、综合运用数字;
情感主线是以话题amazing people为主线将所有教学资源有机整合。以习总书记引入话题并学习数字的表达方式;以学生喜爱的、有卓越音乐成就的美国歌手Taylor Swift的素材为载体巩固数字;以美国著名探险家Steve的听力材料听取数字。然后,再听取教材另一段由“数字”及其他信息相结合的材料。因此,可以让学生在语境中综合应用数字及相关的表达方式。最后让学生穿越时空,梦想自己和同学都成为了amazing people,应邀回校给校友做报告,激励学生实现梦想,成为对社会有用的人!
设计步骤及意图
Step 1 Greetings to the studentsT: What’s the date today?S: January 8th.T: I don’t think it is too late to say “Happy New Year to you”. Also, I don’t think it’s late to make a New Year’s wish. I made a wish this year that I could be taller. Why? (Ask the students to give me an answer) Because I could breathe more fresh air. It seems to be a dream, but Xi Bigbig, the amazing man said he would make my dream come true. Do you believe so? In fact, Xi Bigbig has made great achievements in his leadership. He has become so famous that people all over the world are more and more interested in him. I’ll show you some numbers to see how much you know about him.  (以幽默的方式引出新年愿望,引导学生关注社会、关注环境,并且引出与习总书记相关的数字)

Task 1 Numbers around us


List some different forms of numbers related to Mr. Xi. Ask the students to give information about him. 

Task 2 Learning the numbers


1. Kinds of numbers2. Plural form of numbers3. Words to modify(修饰) numbers4. Difference in pronunciation通过对与习总书记相关数字的呈现,将数字的分类、数字的修饰词、数字的复数形式等给学生进行归纳和复习。以真实材料为背景进行知识的学习,可以让学生在课堂获得信息,提高他们关注时事、关注生活的意识。5. Practice the numbersTaylor Swift是学生喜爱的歌星,在美国乐坛有着卓越成就。以此为载体复习数字,既可以激发学生的兴趣,同时,体现了语言的真实性,提高了学习的效率。

Task 3 Listening for numbers


1) Listen to an introduction to Steve Fossett.Before listening: Predict what types of numbers will be used.While listening: Pay close attention to the difference in pronunciation.While taking down numbers: Use the simple form of the numbers.After listening: Check carefully to avoid spelling mistakes.2) Finish Step 1 A.3) Complete the advertisement according to the listening material in Step 1.(在听之前,对学生听取数字的方法进行指导,有助于学生举一反三、触类旁通,发展能力!)

Task 4 Recommending an amazing person to the headmaster.


Situation: It is Year 2035. Your headmaster will invite one of you to give a speech to your schoolmates. Who will be the most likely to be invited in your class? Give your reasons with numbers.


Sample: Choose a student from the class. Then ask the other students to collect information like this.

Name: Zhang ZheyuanQualities: kind and helpfulAchievements:●a very popular band, with 7,000,000 fans●2025-2035:hold more than 80 concerts, earn 20,000,000 yuan● donate 50% of his income to help the kids in poor areas   ....
这个场景的是由前面现实生活中的习总书记、Taylor Swift过渡到教材中的 Steve以及校长要找的amazing man过渡来的。线索是:amazing people 似乎离我们很遥远,但谁又能怀疑,二十年后,我们这群人当中,不会出现amazing people呢?为了让学生的表达紧扣目标,教师以班上一名同学为例,做了示范,保证了语言内容输出的有效性,同时对被谈论的同学也是一个鼓励!
Step 3 Homework

Write a recommendation letter to your headmaster.


回家作业是要求学生完成课堂上的口头作业,为后面写简历做好信息和知识上的铺垫。
教学反思

教学思路清晰,教学步骤在操作过程中也感觉很流畅,所采用的教学素材紧紧地抓住了学生的注意力。所作的听力技能指导有效地帮助了学生准确获取信息。总之,这节课是一节比较成功的听说课。
