本课所上内容是牛津译林版高中英语模块二第三单元Task部分的第一课时。
本单元的话题是amazing people,通过前面amazing people的文本输入,过渡到本单元的听力输入,让学生进一步以听的方式获取与amazing people有关的信息,为后续写的任务做准备。
教材编者通过各种形式数字的呈现,帮助学生熟悉数字,这有助于提高听的准确性和记录数字信息的有效性。教材中第一段材料要完成的任务是简单的数字,第二段材料是将数字与其他相关信息结合起来对学生进行训练,第三个任务是根据听力信息完成广告,这样的设计体现了教材的层次性。
技能主线是关注数字、学习数字、听取数字及相关信息、综合运用数字;
情感主线是以话题amazing people为主线将所有教学资源有机整合。以习总书记引入话题并学习数字的表达方式;以学生喜爱的、有卓越音乐成就的美国歌手Taylor Swift的素材为载体巩固数字;以美国著名探险家Steve的听力材料听取数字。然后,再听取教材另一段由“数字”及其他信息相结合的材料。因此,可以让学生在语境中综合应用数字及相关的表达方式。最后让学生穿越时空,梦想自己和同学都成为了amazing people,应邀回校给校友做报告,激励学生实现梦想,成为对社会有用的人!

Step 1 Greetings to the students.

Task 3 Listening fornumbers
1) Listen to an introduction to SteveFossett, and tell the skills of listening for numbers.

While listening
