逸空间欣然宣布参加2022年上海廿一当代艺术博览会并呈现艺术家 王智一 个人项目「色界」，现场将集中展出艺术家近年来的系列混合媒材绘画新作，以及场域特定的空间装置作品。

East Gallery will present Wang Zhiyi's solo project "Color and Boundary" at ART021 SHANGHAI Contemporary Art Fair. The exhibition will focus on the artist's recent series of mixed media paintings, as well as site-specific space installation works.

艺术家视画面作为“色彩”与“边界”的运动场，展出的诸件作品均将结合场域特定的空间绘画以色彩视觉动力作为主要线索进行推演。其中，关于色彩的运动与边界的位移将如同画面中所凝固的色域截帧一般，不断地对于心智、知觉、秩序等要素呈现出规律的意识运动图形。

The artist sees the picture as the sports field of "color" and "boundary." The works on display will be combined with the specific space painting in the field and use the color visual power as the main clue for deduction. Among them, the movement of color and the displacement of the boundary will be like the frozen color frame snapshot in the picture, which constantly show a regular pattern of conscious movement for the mind, perception, order and other elements.

在展览中，作品一方面表现了艺术家对于色彩心理学方向的志趣传达，即不同的色彩情感表现是可以依靠人的联想而获取的。在另一方面，则延续了“图形”与“边界”之间的博弈讨论，这种探讨使得艺术家在构思边界感分明的色域空间中同时强化了在绘画过程中所形成的“图形”本身。其中，一种空间秩序的运动被加入到艺术家的画面中来，它将同时佐证：观者视觉能见到运动与变化的先决条件，其实正是“色彩”与“边界”之间两种系统的相互心理位移。

In the exhibition, the works on the one hand express the artist's interest in the direction of color psychology; that is, the expression of different colors can be obtained by human association. On the other hand, it continues the gametheoretic discussion between "graphics" and "boundaries." This discussion makes the artist construct the color space with clear boundaries and at the same time strengthen the "graphic" itself formed in the process of painting. Among them, a movement of spatial order is added to the artist's picture. It will also prove that the prerequisite for the viewer's vision to see that movement and change is actually the mutual psychological displacement between the two systems of "color" and "boundary."

ABOUT ARTIST

王智一（b.1991）是一名游牧性质的复合型艺术工作者。他曾就读于湖北美术学院设计系和壁画与综合材料绘画系，并同时兼顾研究艺术理论及展览实践。现阶段，他关注色彩与图形在感知层面的象征与暗示，并藉此梳理人的心理与寓体及寓意之间的联觉关系；另一方面，他关注的策划内容是艺术个体的真实际遇以及其创造力发生的根本动机。

王智一的作品曾于国内重要美术馆及机构展出，包括年代美术馆（2022）、798艺术中心（2022）、星汇当代美术馆（2022）、拟像（2022）、碧云美术馆（2021）、喜马拉雅美术馆（2021）、银川当代美术馆（2021）、多伦现代美术馆（2020）、当代唐人艺术中心（2020）、时代美术馆（2019）、胶囊上海（2018）、今日美术馆（2018）、美术文献艺术中心（2017）、星空间（2016）、西五艺术中心（2016）、蜂巢当代艺术中心（2015）、K11（2015）及UCCA当代艺术中心（2014）等。

王智一曾取得院级优秀毕业作品及省级优秀学位论文最高嘉奖（2014），参与K11驻留项目（2016-2018），入围上海当代艺术博物馆“青策计划”（2017-2018），并荣获第四届墙报艺术家一等奖（2019），入围K11新锐艺术创作奖（2021）等。此外，他的艺术评论被发表散见于诸多媒体平台，其作品被路易·威登艺术基金会、摩根大通集团、K11艺术基金会、罗浮紫艺术、碧云美术馆、巽美术馆等机构及私人藏家慧藏。

Wang Zhiyi (b.1991) is a nomadic and integrated art worker. He studied at the Department of Design and the Department of Mural and Comprehensive Material at the Hubei Institute of Fine Arts(HIFA), where he also studied art theory and exhibition practice. At present, he focuses on the symbolic and implication of color and graphics at the level of perception, and thus sorts out the association between the human psyche and allegorical bodies and connotations; on the other hand, he is interested in curating the actual encounters of artistic individuals and the underlying motives of their creativity.
Wang Zhiyi's works have been exhibited in important art museums and art centers in China, including Epoch Art Museum (2022),798 Art Center (2022),The Galaxy Museum of Contemporary Art (2022),Simulacra (2022),Being Art Museum (2021),Himalayan Art Museum (2021),MOCA Yinchuan (2021),Duolun Modern Art Museum (2020),Tang Contemporary Art (2020),Times Art museum (2019),Capsule Shanghai (2018),Today Art Museum (2018),Fine Arts Literature Art Center (2017),Star Gallery (2016),C5 Art Center (2016),Hive Center for Contemporary Art (2015),K11 (2015) and UCCA Contemporary Art Center (2014)etc. Wang Zhiyi has received the highest award for outstanding graduation works and dissertations of the Hubei Province (2014). He participated in the K11 residency program (2016-2018), was shortlisted for the Power Station of Art Shanghai's "Emerging Curators Project" (2017-2018), won the first prize of Wall Power Artist (2019), and was shortlisted for the K11 Emerging Art Creation Award (2021)etc. In addition, his art critiques have been published in various media, and his works have been collected by Louis Vuitton Art Foundation, JP Morgan Chase Group, K11 Art Foundation, Purple Roof Public Art, Being Art Museum, Duende Art Museum and other institutions as well as private collectors.
