“重要的另一半”作为2019北京服装学院艺术设计学院毕业展的主题，鼓励学生们探索他们的生活环境、个人、家庭和社会，探索过程伴随着找到学生们灵感的来源和动力的目的。学生们深入研究他们自己的生活、城市、甚至整个世界。通过设计一个项目，提供任何性质的功能、服务和活动，并为他们选择的社区带来积极影响。
As the theme of the 2019 Grad Show of Art & Design school, Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology(BIFT), Significant Others poses a quest to students to explore their life environment, their personal, familial and social contexts with the aim to find an inspirational cause to understand and empower. Students are prompted to delve into their own reality, the city, the universe that surrounds them and devise a project that brings positive impact to a community of their choice by suppling a function, service, activity of any nature–this could be based on an economic transaction, a volunteering job, an educational/commercial/academic/cultural offering provided it clearly targets an unattended common need, whose extent can vary from a small group of people to a neighbourhood or an entire city district. With this in mind the project must reflect on this hypothetical perpetrator as a social partner, a significant other complement.
以“知识领域”为线索的展览架构
EXHIBITION STRUCTURE DEFINED BY KNOWLEDGE
2019届本科生毕业展改变了我们过往以专业为线索的组织思维定势，从“知识游牧”的视角重新架构了知识分类，形成6个主题板块。来自世界学院的策展人毕月，与学院师生一起工作，她提出了“不完整，为设计的另一半”的设计思考，定期和同学、老师就设计概念进行研讨。针对性举办主题工作坊和毕业沙龙会，所有过程资料整理形成了毕业环节的学术研究线上工具平台，邀约国际建筑师团队进行展览设计。
2019 BA Graduation Exhibition is structured by Knowledge division, as opposed to conventional concept by academic majors. We introduced Beatrice Leanza, an Italian curator from The Global School, to work together with us for the graduation design exhibition this year. She raised an idea that “SIGNIFICANT OTHERS – INCOMPLETE BY DESIGN”. She discussed with different groups of students and teachers every Monday afternoon, and held targeted theme studios and graduation saloon seminar, which later became an online tool platform for graduation academic researches. Moreover, she invited an international construction team to design our exhibition, and this changed our thinking pattern to design it based on majors.
