2017年加拿大国际武术节暨加拿大全国武术锦标赛

将于5月20-21日在万锦市泛美运动中心举行!


本次比赛也将是2017年第14届世界武术锦标赛、

2017年第7届传统武术锦标赛和

2018年安大略省冬季运动会武术比赛的选拔赛

GENERAL INFORMATION AND RULES


1. DATE 


The event will be held on May 20-21, 2017.Doors will open at 8:00 am on Saturday with events commencing at 9:30 am sharp, and 9:00am on Sunday with events commencing at 10:00am sharp. A Master’s Galaand Champion Performance will be held in the evening at 7:00-8:30pm

4. EVENTS:


Traditional Kung Fu Events: Novice/Intermediate and Qualifying Divisions for various age brackets 

Wushu Events: Novice/Intermediate and Qualifying Divisions for various age brackets Sanda Combat Sparring Events: Class C and D Light and Semi-Contact Events National High PerformanceCompetition/Team Trial Events: Senior National Selections

 

5. PARTICIPATION ELIGIBILITY


National High Performance Competition/TeamTrial Events

- Must be registered as a CompetitiveAthlete under Wushu Canada.

- Schools of competitive athletes must beclub members of Wushu Canada.

- Competitive Members of Registered WushuCanada Clubs Receive $100.00 discount per registration

- This also applies to athletes that residein a province without a corresponding PSO.

- Each Taolu competitor may enter a maximumof three (3) individual events for National ranking.

- Sanda Qualifiers will be conducted viaseveral events leading to World Championships

 

Qualifying and Non-qualifying Traditionaland Multi-Level Wushu Competition Events

- Must be registered as aGeneral/Recreational Athlete under WushuCanada.

- Member Club Participants Receive $20.00 discount per registration.

- Fee includes two (2) individual events for Open Competition, additional events are $20.00

 

6. REGISTRATION FEE 


(must be paid through competitor’s club ororganization if applicable)

National High Performance Competition/Team Trial Events:

Taolu Events: $350.00/athlete for clubs registering 1-10 athletes $325.00/athlete for clubs registering 11-15 athletes $300.00/athlete for clubs registering 16 or more athletes

(Maximum of three individual events for National ranking purpose,

additional events add $20.00 each in allother categories)

*Competitive Members of Registered WushuCanada Clubs Receive $100.00 discount per registration


Qualifying and Non-Qualifying Traditional/ Wushu Multi-Level Competition including Sanda Combat Sparring Events:

All Events: $55.00/participant

Includes: Up to 2 Events per participant, additional events add $20.00 each

*Member Club Participants Receive $20.00 discount per registration.

- Teams and participants are responsiblefor their own accommodations, food and transportation.

- Payment must be made by bank draft ormoney order (personalized cheques will not be accepted) and payable to: WushuOntario.

- Cash accepted if payment is made inperson prior to due date.


7. DEADLINES 


Preliminary Registrations: 

Must be made in person or via email before May 3rd, 2017 by 12 PM Eastern Time. Final Individual Registrations for all membership registrations, event registrations and payments for clubs and participants mustbe received in person or by mail to the WushuOntario office before May12th, 2017 by 12PM Eastern Time. The required registration forms must becompleted along with Digital Passport sized photos. An administration charge of $100.00 will be applied to athletes who submit their registration after the deadline of May 12th, 2017. The final acceptance of registrations will be May 18th, 2017.

8. DRAW LOTS CEREMONY


- The Draw Lots Ceremony for Taolu will be held at 10:00 pm on May 18th, 2017, at Wushu Canada headquarters. Sanda Match ups will be determined by committee by May 12th, 2017.

The ceremony will be hosted byrepresentatives of Taolu Technical Committee. Each team may send are presentative to attend the Taolu draw. The Technical Committee will draw onbehalf of athletes that are unable to send a representative and will be recorded for archive purposes.


9. PLACING AND AWARDS


National Ranking & Qualifying Competition Events:

- Top 3 participants in each individualevent will receive an award and certificate of achievement

- Top 6 participants in overall National Rankings for each age group will receive a Certificate of achievement

- Selected participants shall have the opportunity to represent Canada at corresponding International events taking place in 2017-18.

- Senior National Team members will receivea team package for World Championship Participation.

- Top participants of each age categoryshall be awarded Title of 2017 Canadian National Champion.


All Other Non-Qualifying Events:

1. 1 competitor in one event-Event shall be combined with another existing category

2. 2 competitors, awarded 1 Gold, 1 Bronze

3. 3-4 competitors, awarded 1 Gold 1 Silverand 1 Bronze

4. 5-7 competitors, awarded 1 Gold, 1Silver and 2 Bronze

5. 8-10 competitors – 1 Gold, 2 Silver, 2bronze

6. 11-14 competitors – 2 Gold, 2 Silver, 3bronze

7. 15 competitors or above –2 Gold, 3Silver, 4 bronze

8. Sanda Combat Sparring will be awarded 1Gold, 1 Silver, 1 Bronze with 2-4 competitors

9. Sanda Combat Sparring will be awarded 1Gold, 1 Silver, 2 Bronze with over 4 competitors

 

10. ARBITRATION


Wushu Ontario will establish an Arbitration Committee for the purpose of resolving any competition disputes. Prior to the completion of the whole competition, the participant orcoach must inform the Chief Judge that they wish to file a complaint. A $100(non-refundable) fee in cash and a written complaint must be submitted to the Arbitration Committee within one hour commencing the completion of the whole event. Decisions made by the Arbitration Committee will be considered final. If a continued dispute arises refer to the Wushu Ontario Dispute Resolution Policy.

 

11. SENIOR NATIONAL TEAM CATEGORIES


WUSHU TAOLU COMPETITION

Top 4 Males and Top 4 Female athletes will be selected for the 2018 World Wushu Championship Team.

Top 8 Male and Top 8 Female will be recognized for the Official Pan Am representing team.


ONTARIO GAMES QUALIFIERS

Rankings in each qualifying category will be considered for participation in the 2018 Ontario Games. Final events and number of athletes will be announced upon final decision by Ontario GameCommittee.


SANDA QUALIFIERS

Sanda Rankings and National Team Selections will be on going via multiple events to be scheduled in 2017.


NATIONAL TRADITIONAL KUNG-FU TEAMQUALIFIERS

Ontario athletes will only be recognized upon their participation at this event. All other PSO athletes will be selectedvia their provinces selection process.


The National Ranking Events will be conducted in accordance with the newest edition of the Rules for International Wushu Taolu Competition endorsed by the IWUF. The right of interpretation ofthe Rules rests solely with WushuCanada’s technical chair. Selected participants of the Canadian National Wushu Team must provide a valid life insurance certificate, valid passport, and valid medical certificate includingan ECG test.


12. CODE OF CONDUCT


First and foremost, utmost respect amongstall athletes competing against each other. Coaches should lead by example and advise theirathletes regardless of the outcome. Participants must always respect themselves, their fellow competitors, coaches and most importantly the judges. The behaviors of the athletes are a direct reflection of the coach and it is the responsibility of the coach to ensure that athletes conduct themselves in are rsponsible and respectful manner to all bodies within the competition. If acoach, participant and/or spectator does not adhere to any of the said above and displays a non-conducive manner of sportsmanship, it will be the right ofthe organizing committee to have the coach, participant and/or spectator suspended and/or removed from the premises and from all WushuCanada sanctioned events.

 

13. COMPETITION METHOD


Each participant may compete in one handroutine, one short weapon routine, and one long weapon routine.

• The best two out of three routine scores will be calculated to determine the ranking score for that participant.

• The first place winner of each eventwill get 0.1 points added to their overall ranking score

• Men and Women will be ranked separately

• Thetop 4 women and top 4 men in each age category will form the Canadian Wushu Team (Taolu) to compete at the 2017 14th World Wushu Championship in Kazan, Russia

• Duelevents will not contribute toward the team selection

• 2016 National Champions will receive 0.1 score added to their overall ranking score.


14.REQUIRED FORMS, MEDICAL AND EQUIPMENT:


The delegation of each team / athlete must bring the following:

If participating in competition, you need:

• Preliminary Entry Form for All High Performance Taolu Competition (MALE/FEMALE) (if applicable)

• FINAL Individual Registration & Waiver Form

• Provide proof of age/citizenship if requested

•Medical form completion by licensed physician.

 

Participants are responsible to bring their own appropriate attire and equipment for each participating event i.e. Uniforms, weapons, apparatus, sanda equipment, etc.


IMPORTANT NOTICE:

1) The Competition Organizer has the right to merge different categories into one event in case of less than 5 competitors in any categories/events; there will be no refunds of fees paid.

2) Each athlete may participate in as many events as they choose but must abide by the qualifying requirements of each category.

3)Athletes may choose to move up in skill level (class) but may not move down.This does not apply to sanda events.

4) Once a participant selects their level (class) of events, they must remain in that level throughout all of their competition events.

5) In the case of emergency or unexpected accidents, the Competition Organizer has the right to cease the competition. There will be no refunds of fees paid.
