洛桑高等商学院（HEC Lausanne）是瑞士洛桑大学（University of Lausanne）的附属公立商学院，成立于1911年。洛桑大学则是瑞士历史最悠久的大学之一，距今已有470多年的历史，是世界著名的综合性院校。
洛桑高等商学院获得了欧洲质量改进体系（EQUIS）的认证，声誉极高，是欧洲顶尖的商学院之一。学院现有学生约3000人，规模不是很大，因此师生之间的互动更加频繁。

这一次，我们采访了2014年毕业于洛桑高等商学院金融硕士专业的时瑜，希望能为对该校感兴趣的读者提供一些实用信息。
你好，时瑜。请简单介绍一下你自己并告诉我们两到三个与你有关的事实。
我的名字是时瑜，我来自合肥。目前，我在纽约M-Way Technology天使基金公司做咨询工作。我能流利地说四种语言，普通话、广东话、英语，还有法语。我在三个不同的大洲生活过，分别是亚洲、欧洲和北美。除此之外，我很喜欢旅行和远足。
请问你在洛桑高等商学院学习了多长时间？你为什么决定在那里学习？
我的整个金融硕士学位都是在洛桑高等学院念的，是一个两年的项目。我选择在那边学习因为它在金融教育领域享有很好的声誉并且它的地理位置很好，在欧洲的中心。此外，瑞士在众多金融相关领域都处于世界领先地位，比如私人银行和财富管理。
你是否享受在洛桑度过的时光？
当然啦！我在哪儿非常开心但是我有必要说一下，那边的硕士项目读起来有些费力。
那边的教学质量如何？你最喜欢在洛桑学习的哪些方面？
首先，我必须要说那边的教授都具有很高的知识水平。其次，课程安排很合理，良好的结构使得理解变得更加直接容易。此外，那边的学习不止注重学术，也很看重实践。比如说，学生经常需要进行团队合作，一起完成一个项目。最后，校外的客座教授和专家经常受邀来给我们讲行业内最新的挑战和变化，学生还由此扩大了自己的社交网络。我就因为这些人脉在找第一份工作时获得了一些面试机会。

在中国和瑞士学习有什么不同？
我对洛桑国际学生的数量感到惊讶。我的班级非常国家化和多样化。在中国，外国学生的比例就要低很多。
课堂
适应瑞士的生活并且在那儿交朋友对你来说容易吗？你遇到最主要的文化冲击和条件是什么？
说实话，一开始确实有一点困难，但是渐渐的我就可以适应那边的生活并且遇到很多和我有共同兴趣爱好的学生。至于文化冲击，我当时很惊讶瑞士人每次见面时都互亲脸颊仪表问候，就算他们不是很熟。此外，他们也经常拥抱亲近的朋友。对我而言，最主要的障碍是语言问题，并不是瑞士人都会说英语。
你会怎样描述瑞士人，瑞士习俗已经瑞士的生活方式？
最先浮现在我脑海中的几个形容词是：冷静的、关爱的、受过良好教育的。他们总是非常乐于助人，曾经有好几次在路上，我看起来迷失方向时，有人问我是不是需要帮助。此外，他们工作也非常努力。至于习俗，我觉得他们很在乎环境卫生。房屋和街道总是很整洁。
生活在瑞士，你最喜欢的是什么？
首先，我感到很安全，所有东西都井井有条。其次，环境很健康，没有任何污染。我在我空闲的时候会去滑雪和远足，那儿自然风光是在是太美了！最后，我相信雇员和学生都能够平衡好工作／学习和生活。比如晚上7点的时候，大多数人都已经完成了工作，剩下的时间，他们可以投身于自己的爱好或者参与其他各种各样的活动。
除了上课之外，你还做其他什么事？
我经常利用周末的空闲时间在瑞士境内游玩，尽情享受美到让人窒息的群山。晚上，我很喜欢去剧院。此外，因为瑞士地处欧洲中心位置，对于而言去欧洲诸多国家旅行也很方便，比如：法国，英国，意大利，荷兰。
你会鼓励中国学生到洛桑高等商学院学习吗？
绝对会！这个学校在众多商学院中享有盛誉，那边的教学和生活质量都很吸引人，但是课程确实有一定难度。

Hi Yu, can you introduce yourself and tell us 2-3 interesting facts about yourself?
My name is Yu Shi and I come from Hefei (close to Nanjing). I am currently working as a consultant at M-Way Technology Angel Funding in New York. I speak four languages fluently (Mandarin, Cantonese, English and French) and I have lived on 3 different continents: Asia, Europe and North America. Besides that, I enjoy travelling and hiking.
How long have you studied at HEC Lausanne and why did you decide to study there?
I took my whole Master’s program in Finance at HEC Lausanne and it lasted for 2 years. I chose to study there because of its excellent reputation in finance and for its convenient location (Middle of Europe). In addition, Switzerland is a leading place for finance (Private Banking, Wealth Management), which makes it very attractive to learn finance there.
Did you enjoy your time in Lausanne?
Definitely, yes! I had such a great time there but I have to mention that the Master’s program was pretty demanding.
How was the quality of the courses and what are the main aspects you enjoyed about studying in Lausanne?
Firstly, I have to say that the Professors are very qualified and skillful. Secondly, the courses are well organized and the great structure makes it straightforward to understand the topic. Besides that, the program is not only academic but it also focuses on practice, for instance, students often have to realize projects in group. Finally, external guests and professionals are steadily invited to give a talk about current challenges and changes, which gives students the opportunity to enlarge their network. For example, it enabled me to get several interviews for my first job.
What are the main differences between studying in China and in Switzerland?
I would say that I was amazed by the large proportion of foreign students in Lausanne. Our class was so international and diverse. In China, the percentage of foreign students is much lower.
Was it easy for you to adapt to the Swiss lifestyle and make new friends? What were the main culture shock and challenges you experienced?
To be honest, at the beginning it was a bit though (as everywhere) but after a while I started to adapt myself to the living conditions there and I could meet students with whom I had a lot in common. Concerning culture shock, I was really amazed to see that everyone in Switzerland and Europe kiss each other on the cheek as greetings, even if they do not know each other well. Besides that, they also often give a hug to their close friends! One of the main obstacles was the language, not everyone was able to speak English.
How would you describe the Swiss people, customs and lifestyle?
The first adjectives that come to my mind are calm, caring and educated. They are willing to help others and for example, people in the streets asked me several times if I needed some help when I looked disoriented. Besides that, they are also hard-working. For the customs, I would say that they really take care about cleanliness. Houses and streets are always clean.
What are the main aspects you enjoyed about living in Switzerland?
Firstly, l felt very secure and everything is well planned and organized. Then, the environment is very healthy and there is no pollution. I had the opportunity to go skiing and hiking when I had free time and the sceneries were breathtaking. Finally, I believe that employees and students have comfortable work-life balance. For example, at 7pm most of them are done with the professional side and they have free time for their hobbies and do diverse activities.
Which activities did you do besides your courses?
During the weekends I often used these free days to travel around the country and explore stunning places in the mountains. In the evening, I also enjoyed going to the theater. Additionally, as Switzerland is located in the middle of Europe, it was easy for me to travel around Europe: France, UK, Italy and Netherland.
Would you encourage Chinese students to go to HEC Lausanne?
Absolutely, yes! The School has a very high reputation among the business schools and the quality of the courses and life is very attractive. However, courses are pretty demanding.
