Lucian Freud（卢西安·弗洛伊德，1922年12月8日－2011年7月20日），是一位英国艺术家，偏好人物和人体油画，他出生在德国，也是著名心里学家西格蒙德·弗洛伊德的孙子。他的作品是伦敦佳士德与苏富比拍卖会上当代艺术家的最高价，他已经被公认是英国最伟大的当代画家之一。
弗洛伊德1922年生于维也那一个犹太人家庭。他的祖父是大名鼎鼎的心理学家弗洛伊德。他于15岁时进人了工艺美术学校。由于犹太人的背景，1933年他们全家迁往伦敦，1939年弗洛伊德进入英国圣工会绘画学校，受业于校长莫里斯门下。这个时期他的绘画题材宽泛，并计受到超现实主义的影响，其绘画较为精致人微但却开始具有某种后来的敏感，如他所画的静物植物结合的画面以及人物肖像《少女与绿叶》（1948）、《女孩和白色的狗》（1951）、《弗兰西斯 培根）（1952）、《巴廷顿画室》（1951）。在这些作品的严谨精致中，可以看出画家受到安格尔、丢勒、荷尔拜因、门采尔等人的影响。

从40年代到80年代，他定居在伦敦，无论作为艺术家还是普通人，弗洛伊德都被认为是难以相处的。他将自己处于孤僻和封闭的状态，远离喧嚣的国际艺术潮流，更多地向自己领域的纵深开掘。其绘画对象从不叙述戏剧性的事件，基本上以室内肖像、裸体肖像为主。这也使他成为一个定型的画家．而他也就在室内从亲近的人身上不厌其烦地刻画着某种近乎神经质的状态，他喜欢畸形而病态的主题。其作品风格粗率、性感而注重绘画性。如《画家的母亲》（1972）、《诺斯》（1978）、《夜之画像》（1985）、《自画像》（1985）。他的画而结构紧缩而有力，其所描绘的胴体通常是绷紧而饱满。笔触显露，有时呈现出无序、粗鄙的状态。在这点上他的一些作品具有某种表现性的效果。他不喜欢人们过多将注意力集中在色彩中，他说：“我不要人们注意色彩，我要的是一种‘生命的色彩’”。

他的绘画风格在60年代以后基本上没有大的变化，他说：“如同我的记忆，我总是试图做相同的事。”然而正是这种反复的强悍的风格却使他赢得了极大的赞誉。在90年代的中国，弗洛伊德的风格对“新生代”潮流的兴起只有强烈的感召力。中国的艺术家们正是在表达人对现实的“异样”感觉上，寻找到“弗洛伊德式切入”，这当然为弗洛伊德所始料未及，但这也正显示了他作品跨越时空的魅力。
