Fashion Show: 2月25日下午3点－4点 世青国际学校小学部
In order to increase the publicity of GEI's project in Qinghai to support local handicraft making, we cooperated with the team of Recycled fashion. Together we're emphasizing the common beauty between clothes, art and the environment.
Below, the GEI-NGO WeChat is sharing the promotional content from Recycled Fashion about our project and their super awesome "Fashion Show"! GEI will be participating in the fashion show and we hope you all will come and see the beautiful and sustainable clothing!

Project Introduction
在三江源这个神秘的土地上，在高耸的山峰上有一个贫瘠的村庄。 由于村民们的食物来源仅仅源于耕种， 但是近两年地球气候的变化，耕种越加困难，只有最低的收入和食物来源。
In the mystifying land of Sanjiangyuan, there exists a deprived village, high in the soaring mountains. The village solely survive on the local plants and herbs, providing a minimum source of income and food. Especially considering the currently harshening climate, a direct result of climate change.
在这个村庄中流传着一些民间手艺，村民们大多都会编织或是缝制美丽的手工配饰。几位世青国际学校的学生决定与全球环境研究所合作，帮助三江源的这个村庄提供他们缺乏的专业指导，材料和更现代的工具；这样一来不仅可以帮助村民开展一系列新的工作，自食其力地帮助村庄快速发展，也可以使他们的传统手艺流传下去。
The village produces beautiful hand-made accessories, and students of the Beijing World Youth Academy were determined to work with the Global Environmental Institute China to help the Sanjiangyuan village in providing the village with professional guidance, materials and more modern tools, which the villagers lack.
全球环境研究所（Global Environmental Institute，简称GEI）是一家中国本土的非政府、非营利性组织，致力于在发展经济的同时保护环境。GEI的特点在于将传统的环境保护、生计改善、资源节约的手段，与创新的商业模式相结合。
The Global Environmental Institute is a non-governmental, non-profit organization working towards helping China protect the environment while experiencing economic development simultaneously. The organization connected the students and the village.
在我们开始此项目的工作的同时，许多才华横溢的设计师们就加入了时装秀的筹备工作。不仅校内是如此，项目刚开始就吸引了许多其他国际学校的瞩目：德威(Dulwich)，京西国际学校(WAB)，协力国际学校(HIS)和北京工业大学等学生的帮助，为了BWYA的“回收时尚” (Recycled Fashion)团队出一份力。“回收时尚”(Recycled Fashion)作为一个学生团队，用时装秀和时装表演的方式筹集资金，为三江源牧民捐款。
The students began to work, rigorously and diligently, on the project. Attracting talented designers and many other students in helping this noble cause. They not only gained the attention of the entire school, but gained the help of students at schools such as Dulwich, Western Academy of Beijing, HOPE international school, and local Chinese universities, whom chose to help out the newly formed team named “Recycled Fashion”, as models. Recycled Fashion chose such a name for the way the students chose to raise the money, through a fashion show.

走秀中所有的设计都是学生的原创作品。Recycled Fashion Team将捐赠的旧衣服和材料重新剪裁以及缝制，做出一件件可以走秀的精致服装。
All the designs, being the student’s original works, will be created from the donated second-hand clothing materials and appear at the fashion show.

北京工业大学服装系的高材生也为此项目的服装制作免费提供了帮助和指导，双方的互利合作才使服装秀有希望到达期望的效果。在零资金帮助的状态下，我们从零开始创作和设计，用最少的资金和帮助，一点一点地将整个项目达到一个极高的境界。
We not only created the designs from scratch, but have risen an entire project from bare minimum, with no funding, we have held multiple model castings and fittings to find the perfect matches for the show.

我们举行了多个模特面试，举办了多次校内筹款活动，为了购买必要的材料，装饰和场地运营资金。在与学校，全球环境研究所和模特的沟通以及互助下，我们期待着走秀时大家最好的发挥。
We have held multiple fundraising events to raise enough funds for materials, decorations, and venue operations, they’ve communicated with the school, models, and GEI China, for the best outcome from the fashion show.
