The Mid-Autumn Festival is a celebration for Chinese when families stay together. Many people who live far away from home will go back to have a family reunion. A saying goes, "The moon in your hometown is almost always the brightest and roundest". The full moon is a symbol for family reunion, which is why that day is also known as the Festival of Reunion.
