Llinks Opens Office in Shenzhen with Four New Partners

Llinks Law Offices (Llinks) announces its new office opening in Shenzhen on 25 May 2020. The new office is located at China Resources Tower in the Shenzhen Bay of Nanshan District, an innovative and dynamics area in Shenzhen.

The Shenzhen office is Llinks’ third office in Mainland China and the fifth worldwide since its establishment back in 1998. By opening its Shenzhen office, Llinks aims to further extend its dedicated presence in South China. The Shenzhen office will work closely with Llinks’ Hong Kong office and create a synergy between Shenzhen and Hong Kong. The new office will facilitate diversified development in the Greater Bay Area (GBA) by providing more convenient and efficient legal services to clients in South China. Meanwhile, as Llinks’ strategic move of its international development blueprint, the launch of its Shenzhen office will maximize Shenzhen’s strategic and innovative advantage as the centre of the GBA and an innovative city, echoing China’s “Belt and Road” initiative and strategy of development of cross-border legal market.

Llinks also announces the onboard of its Shenzhen team; led by four veteran partners, Alex Huang, Candice Du, Alan Chen and Sheldon Chen, all well recognized in the South China legal market. This will further strengthen Llinks’ practice in capital market, corporate and commercial, M&A, PE/VC, cross-border financing and investment, and dispute resolutions; and help to build Llinks’ leading position in the South China legal market.

Alex Huang

Partner

Alex obtained his LL.B in law and LL.M in international law from Shenzhen University. Prior to joining Llinks in April 2020, Alex worked as a national senior partner for a well-known law firm in China for 13 years and served as a member of the Shenzhen Office Management Committee. Alex is also an arbitrator and a finance lease expert of the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration, and the vice chairman of the Shenzhen Law and Culture Research Association.

Alex specializes in financing and M&A with extensive legal experience and broad industrial perspective. Alex has served as a legal advisor for a large number of onshore and offshore financing, M&A and real estate projects, providing professional advice on transaction planning, risk control and implementation for financial institutions, large state-owned enterprises, listed companies and investment funds. He has represented clients in dealing with financing, M&A and real estate lawsuits and arbitrations, and advised clients on property preservation, dispute resolutions and judgment enforcement.
Alex is good at leading teams to provide legal services for large group clients in need of diversified professional legal services. He is also good at solving difficult issues with multi-dimensional thinking methods and legal knowledge.

Candice obtained her LL.B. and Bachelor degree of Arts from Minzu University of China, She also completed FMBA programs in Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business. Prior to joining Llinks, Candice worked as national senior partner in a well-known law firm for more than 10 years.

In the fields of corporate & commerce, cross-border investment and financing, Candice specializes in providing legal services in cross-border investments, financing and M&A projects for listed companies, large group enterprises and financial institutions.
In the fields of private equity and venture capital, Candice has provided legal services for fund raising and establishment, investment operation, exit, and liquidation for dozens of fund management companies and funds. Candice also specializes in providing businesses with constructive legal advice and resolutions of complex disputes.
Candice was listed as “China 30 under 30” in LEGALBAND 2016 and awarded “Top 10 Young Elite Lawyers” by CLECSS 2020. 

Alan Chen

Alan graduated from Shenzhen University with a Bachelor degree of Law and has been attending the FMBA programs of Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business since 2019. Prior to joining Llinks, Alan worked as a senior partner for a famous leading law firm for more than 10 years.

In the fields of corporate & commerce, cross-border investment and financing and real estate, Alan specializes in providing legal services for large state-owned enterprises, listed companies, group companies, financial institutions and real estate funds on domestic and foreign investment and financing, mergers & acquisitions, project financing and other general affairs.
In the fields of private equity/venture capital, Alan has provided many different types of legal services for dozens of professional investment institutions and private equity fund managers in fund raising and establishment, subsequent investment operations, exit and liquidation. Alan also specializes in providing businesses with constructive legal advice and resolutions of complex disputes.
Alan was listed as “China 30 under 30” out of 30 young elite lawyers in LEGALBAND 2017.  

Sheldon Chen

Sheldon graduated from Fudan University and the Chinese University of Hong Kong with LL.B. degree and LL.M. degree respectively. Prior to joining Llinks, he has worked in two prestigious law firms in China.

Sheldon specializes in private equity/venture capital investments, mergers and acquisitions, corporate and commercial related legal services, specializing in complex onshore/offshore investments and M&A transactions. He has substantially participated in and led significant number of investments, restructuring and M&A projects in a variety of industries, including industries and sectors not limited to TMT, big data, artificial intelligence, retail and consumer industry, culture and entertainment, healthcare, alternative energy, logistics and home industry. Sheldon has also advised a number of startups on their employee share option plans. Sheldon ‘s clients include famous RMB funds, USD funds and strategic investors as well as fast growing startups, emerging companies and listed companies.
