Amazing | 15 Bamboo Gardens to Bloom in Beijing Forestry University

从图纸、模型到实物，通过材料建构和艺术表达相互交叠运用的建造体验，以激发园林学子创作热情，提高动手能力，弘扬工匠精神，为风景园林行业培养实践创新人才，北京林业大学兹定于2018年9月下旬举办首届“北林国际花园建造节”。

The 1st BFU International Garden-making Festival will be hosted by Beijing Forestry University at the end of September, 2018. From the drawings, models and actual works, the Festival aims to demonstrate the purpose of inspiring students' passion for design, promoting handling capability, carrying forward the spirit of the craftsman and cultivating creative talents for the profession of landscape architecture through a construction experience integrating material construction and artistic expression.

花园建造节同时将是2019北京世园会“园艺走进生活，走进校园，走进市民”的实践场所，将促进更多的市民、学生以及专业人员认识园艺、花园，了解园艺新品种、科普与花园艺术，宣传2019北京世园会理念。

The Garden-making Festival will also be a venue for the International Horticultural Exhibition 2019, Beijing, China, to practice its philosophy that "Horticulture goes into life, campus, and the citizens", enabling more citizens, students and professionals to know more about horticulture and gardens, understand new horticultural varieties, popular science and garden art. It is one of the key supporting points to spread the ideas of Expo 2019, Beijing, China.

本届花园建造节的主题为“竹境·花园”，是探讨以原竹和花卉为主要材料的花园建造技术。将在北京林业大学主校门东侧学子情广场上布置15个小花园。其中7个为之前竞赛方案征集中获得建造奖的团队作品，8个为邀请参加的国内外知名高校团队作品。

The festival aims to discuss garden-making techniques that use bamboo and herbs as major materials. Fifteen small gardens will be arranged on the Student Affection Square to the east of the main entrance of Beijing Forestry University. Among them, 7 are works of the teams winning the construction award in the previous competition program solicitation, and 8 are works of invited teams from famous colleges and universities at home and abroad.
