随着 ACU 2016 初春系列的预览发布会开幕,曾经象征着中国潮流文化开端的 ACU 也宣布正式回归。作为原 ACU 团队成员、现 ACU 主理人的 Michael Chung 为何要把这个承载着众多 80 后中国潮流爱好者美好回忆的品牌重新推出市场?接下来的 10 周年会有什么新动作?带着这些疑问,我们与 Michael Chung 进行了一次独家访谈,感兴趣的朋友不容错过。



关于 ACU



请问你在 ACU 品牌中担任什么样的角色?


从 2006 年品牌刚刚开始的时候,我就开始在 ACU 负责多项事物,但现在来说你可以称我为品牌主理人。


I take on many roles with in ACU, even when it first started in 2006, but as of now I think you can call me the 主理人.


能否为我们介绍一下 ACU 最新的产品?


这个全新的服装系列是为了纪念早期的 ACU 店铺以及品牌。我们对设计元素进行了剪辑和中和,希望既能够带来好的产品给过往对 ACU 有一定了解的用家,也希望可以重新介绍这个品牌给新的朋友。使用简单明确的设计,告诉大家我们的根在哪儿。


This new line of ACU clothes is to pay homage to some of the items that were made in the early years of the store/brand. We mixed up some of the designs, but we wanted to bring back ACU with a familiar face to the people who already know of ACU, and to reintroduce ACU to those who are new to it. We wanted to keep it simple and bold, so people could see where we come from.




ACU 已经停止了一段时间,是什么样的想法促使你将品牌再度推出?


ACU 是最早的街头时尚多品店以及限量球鞋店之一,我们也创立了同名品牌,体现我们对行业的理解以及想法。沉寂多年后,我们决定在十周年之际正式回归,向新一代重新介绍品牌,以及多年后的上海和中国的街头文化。


ACU was one of the first street fashion select shops and sneaker boutiques, and we started a brand that we wanted to represent our knowledge and ideas. After many years of being dormant, and being the 10-year anniversary of the brand, we wanted to bring the brand back and reintroduce it to the younger generation of how this culture became about in Shanghai/China.

ACU 曾是令人记忆犹新的潮流店铺,现在其服装系列推出了,而ACU店铺却为什么没有重启?


我觉得大概很多人不了解开店所需要的库存和商品需要很大的资金,在当下,我觉得我们希望传递的讯息以及品牌概念远远重要于开店本身。随着互联网和通讯的迅速发展,购买自己喜爱的品牌和产品变得非常简单,无论是网购还是通过其他国家的家人朋友,所以开设实体店的竞争变得异常激烈,但日后我们有可能考虑为 ACU 单独设立实体店铺。


I think a lot of people do not understand that opening a store with inventory requires a lot of capital, and in this day and age, I think the message and concept of what we are trying to do is more important than opening a store. With the growth of the Internet and communication, it is much easier to buy many of the popular brands on the Internet or via friends and family in different countries. The competition is extremely high for having a brick and mortar store, but maybe one day we will reopen ACU as a full store.




现在全新推出的 ACU 品牌,与之前 ACU 推出的单品有什么不同?


过往我们只会在自己的 ACU 店铺售卖相关产品,我当下的目标是把品牌在全世界的知名店铺售卖,也包括网络。我们计划于明年正式发布具有独特风格的完整产品线。


We released our clothes as a store item before and were only sold in our store. My new goal is to have the brand be available in many different stores throughout the world and online as well. We plan to release the brand in full collections with certain styles and items being spot items in the upcoming year.

以前 ACU 是店铺,现在它是一个独立品牌,那会不会在 KAFFIEND 以外的店铺售卖?


开店的想法在团队内部受到激烈讨论,时机成熟后有可能会以ACU独占的形式重新开店。目前我们有选择性的挑选一些店铺进行销售。

This idea has been discussed heavily amongst the team, and when the time comes ACU may or may not reopen as a full store.




ACU 品牌的设计以中国风为主,你觉得这一点会不会阻碍品牌未来的发展?


我相信我们始终在设计上保持相当一部分中国元素的呈现,但整体来看设计元素将会是很多元的。我们会乐此不疲的做中国元素的尝试,也希望我们的支持者们喜欢这些设计!

I believe we will retain a certain degree of Chinese influence in our designs,but overall I think we will have a wide range of designs in terms of clothing styles and designs. We will bring in the Chinese influence whenever we can and I hope our supporters will support our designs!

除了经典的针灸,有没有 ACU 其他的设计灵感或者元素会在以后呈现出来?


其实除了设计上的中国元素之外,我们同样看重舒适,风格,以及质量,我们希望能通过我们的服装为市场带来新的能量。


I think we will try and bring in creative designs with Chinese influence as wellas what we feel is comfort, style, and quality. Besides the Chinese influence we want to bring in new ideas and designs in our clothing.

球鞋一直是 ACU 的重要部分,以前也有很多经典合作推出,那现在有没有的新的企划在创意中?


我们已经在跟一些以往没有合作过的品牌在谈全新的合作方案,请持续关注我们,别忘了 2016 年是我们的 10 周年纪念!

We are working on some new projects with some new partners in trying to bring new ideas and designs to our brand. Stay tuned for more news as the year progresses. Please don't forget that 2016 is our 10-year anniversary.



关于 Michael Chung





介绍一下你是谁?来自哪里?从事什么样的工作?


我是 Michael Chung,身边的朋友会叫我 kookies 或者 kookieshk (instagram kookieshk,微博叫 kookieshkg)。我来自香港,在加拿大和美国待过,我大学念的是工商管理,但一直都是个 sneakerhead/球鞋收藏者。我之前帮助我哥 Tom(Bigz)还有 EDC 做过很多项目。在 CLOT 创立之前,我非常沉迷球鞋,逐渐变成了我哥和 Edison 的球鞋买手。CLOT 成立后,每当他们需要我,我就会利用学校的空闲时间帮他们一起做项目。我也是 ACU 自 2006 创办到现在的创始人之一。除此之外,我还创办了一家服装生产和分销公司叫 EETEE,这家公司变成很多品牌进入中国的桥梁。

My name is Michael Chung, I also go by the name of kookies or kookieshk (ins – kookieshk, weibo – kookieshkg). I am from Hong Kong, but have lived in Canada and United States. I went to school for Business Management, but have always been a sneakerhead/sneaker collector. I’ve been helping out with many different projects that my brother Tom (BIGZ) and Edison have been working on. Before CLOT started I was heavily into sneakers, and became some what of a sneaker buyer for my brother and Ed. When CLOT started, I helped with some of the projects they needed help on and whenever I had time to spare from school. In terms of ACU, I was one of the original founders of the brand and store in 2006. Apart from these two, I am part owner of EETEE a company that deals with distribution and production of clothing. EETEE also acts as a middle man to bring in brands to China.

你所向往和认可的生活方式是什么?


快活,舒适,做自己喜欢的事情。永远争取做到最好,并且保持乐观。


Be happy, be comfortable, and do what you like. Strive for the best and hope for the better.

你最为热衷的事情是什么?


太多了!时尚,车,咖啡,艺术,球鞋,家人,朋友等等等等。

Too many to list! Fashion, Cars, Coffee, Art, Sneakers, Family, Friends just to name a few.

有哪些人物、事物或者文化对你现在的生活或工作有着重大影响?


我小时候因为我哥而深受涂鸦的影响,这也引导了我去了解更多的街头文化。我哥和 Edison 也介绍了这个行业内的很多品牌以及从业者给我认识。在人格塑造方面我父亲肯定对我影响很深,他教会了我很多商业上的知识。作为一个从小喜欢球鞋的孩子,我对藤原浩做的所有事情都很感兴趣,并且到了今天我为自己能够成为他的朋友感到极大的荣幸。


I fell deeply into graffiti as a teenager because of my brother, and this lead me to learning more about street cultureand the different aspects of it. My brother and Edison also introduced me to a lot of different brands and people in the industry, and this allowed me to be apart of something I only hoped when I was young. My father definitely plays alarge role in what kind of person I am today, he has taught me many important lessons in business. Growing up as a teenager and being heavily interested in sneakers, I was deeply interested in almost everything that HF did, and its an honor to be able to call him a friend today.

你的女神是谁?


我母亲对于我来说是别人无可取代的女神。她不只是教会我做人,她也给我设立了标准,希望有一天我能成为她的骄傲。

No one can replace or be more of a 女神 than my mom. She notonly educated me to become whom I am today, but has set standards for me to follow and hopefully I can be whom she wants me to be.



从球鞋店铺摇身一变成为今年末最受关注的全新街头文化品牌,ACU 在历经接近十年的风雨之后想必会在接下来的日子再创昔日的辉煌。到底明年 10 周年纪念 ACU 会有什么令人值得期待的大动作?恐怕现在除了 Michael Chung 之外还没有其他人知道,笔者也与各位同样期待明年的最新消息,大家记得留意 NOWRE 接下来的跟踪报道。如果想率先入手 ACU 重出江湖的第一弹单品,除了在 KAFFIEND、DOE、101 时尚工厂门店可以找到之外,ACU 官方线上商店也同样在售,各位有买趁手了。
