“People”和“Person”的区别
person
通常特指“某个人”，具有指定性
复数形式：persons
人们习惯性用people替换persons
people
指一群人、某群人，范围更广
聚集在一起的300人时会说people，
而陪审团有12人则用persons。
当时认为在指小范围的具体的人更应该用persons。
但对现在的大多数母语是英语的人来说，
陪审团中有12个人说成12persons似乎有些乏味，
以美式英语为母语的人会说陪审团有12 people。
在这样的类似的语境中，
“people”这个词已经被使用了很长时间，
而且是更自然的表达方式。
总结来说：
Person强调的是个体，可以泛指man, woman或child中的任何一个，它的复数形式是Persons，但人们习惯用People代替persons。但是Persons这一复数形式更正式，法律文书和官方文件使用的多是Persons。
People强调的是群体，所以当说一个人的时候，不用people，当表示两个以上的人的时候，就需要用 People了。
其实，Three people和Three persons这两种表达都可以使用，但我们要根据不同的情境使用。强调个人时，三个人就是Three persons；强调整体的时候，我们要说Three people。
例句：
There are 40 students in our class, but only three people passed the exam.
我们班有40名学生，但只有三个人通过了这次考试。
The three persons often play badminton after school.
他们三个人放学后经常一起打羽毛球。
people person 是“人人”？
先来看看英文词典的解释：
Someone who is particularly gregarious, affable, or outgoing; someone with great interpersonal communication skills.
特别合群、和蔼可亲或外向的人；有很好的人际沟通技巧的人。
“People person” 的意思是指：人缘好的人；善于交际的人。
例句：
Taylor was a people person. She was warm and friendly.
霉霉是个随和的人。她热情而友好。
last-minute person
例句：
I'm a typical last-minute person. I don't finish my work until the last minute.
我是个典型的拖延症患者，直到最后一分钟才能完成工作。
