Trees of Eternity对于很多人来说是个很陌生的名字，但他的主创却大有来头——芬兰著名旋律厄运/死亡金属乐队Swallow the Sun的创立者及主创 Juha Raivio，这是他为了女歌手Aleah Liane Stanbridge组建的厄运分支计划，从2003年的Demo作品《Black Ocean》开始，磨合到今年发行了首张专辑《Hour of the Nightingale》，但不幸的是，女主唱Aleah与今年4月18日离世，这张乐队的首张作品也就成了她的绝唱。这对于一支厄运风格的乐队来说，真实一场降临到现实的厄运啊。

Trees of Eternity的音乐与Swallow the Sun有很多相似之处，都是非常注重氛围的营造，同时将旋律做到很凄美的曲风，毕竟主创阵容基本是一拨人。女主唱Aleah本身也是多才多艺，不光参与过多张Swallow the Sun专辑和单曲的演唱，而且2015年的专辑《Songs from the North I, II & III》封面设计和摄影也都出自她之手。她还在去年，在芬兰著名金属乐队Amorphis的《Under the Red Cloud》中献唱。Trees of Eternity全部歌词也都出自她之手，并与Juha Raivio一起完成了音乐创作。

我很喜欢文章开篇那首《My Requiem》，旋律优美，Aleah的嗓音也特别的好听，不过现在再配上她的歌词一起听，确实更加重了一股凄凉之情：“Too late you're calling out my name，To raise me up out of my grave”，心都听碎了。其他的作品如《A Million Tears》和《Black Ocean》也都是厄运金属的上乘之作。人虽然不在了，但她的声音和音乐会永远流传下去。R.I.P。
