我校通过审核申请人申请材料，结合在线测试结果、导师审核及面试结果等择优录取。

Eligibility
申请资格
1. 非中国籍公民，身体健康；
2. 语言要求
2.1 申请中文授课专业，近两年内的汉语水
平考试（HSK）成绩应达到以下标准：
以下情况可免 HSK：
· 汉语为母语或常用语；
· 用汉语完整学习过学历项目，并获得证书。
2.2 申请英语授课专业，英语水平须满足以下任一条：
· 英文为母语或官方语言；
· 近两年内雅思（A）成绩 6.5 分以上(含)或托福成绩 90 分以上(含，接受托福个人最佳成绩 TOEFL MyBestTM Score 和 TOEFL essentials)或其他国际认可的英语水平考试达到相当分数，并提交成绩证明；
· 在以英语为母语的国家获得过学历证书。
3. 学业水平必须符合下列条件：
3.1 具有学士学位
申请时尚未拿到学位证书的应届毕业生需提供所在学校或学院出具的预毕业证明，用以证明申请者有能力于2023年7月31日前顺利毕业并取得学位证书。
3.2 具有相关本科专业背景，或本科阶段修读过相关专业课程，成绩绩点 2.5(含)以上（备注：GPA4 分制）。
3.3 上海大学导师审核接收
在线申请系统中选择专业时选择导师，并取得导师审核通过。
注：申请以下学院硕士研究生项目无须在线选择导师，符合条件的录取者报到注册后由专业学院安排导 师：经济学院、MBA中心、悉尼工商学院；
3.4 申请艺术类专业，须有艺术专业背景，并提供作品集(如绘画作品、故事剧本、短片等）;
3.5 个别学院要求有工作经验者优先录取，如：MBA 中心。
1. To be eligible, applicants should be non-Chinese citizens with a valid ordinary-type passport, and in good health.
2. Language Proficiency
2.1 Chinese-taught programs：
HSK certificates within two years are required (HSK refers to Chinese Proficiency Test. You can find information on: www.chinesetest.cn):
HSK 5 above 180 for Science, Engineering, Economics, Management and Art;
HSK 5 above 210 for Humanities.
*HSK Exemptions
The following types of applicants are exempt from taking the HSK:
·Native speaker of Chinese;
·The previous degree is fully taught in Chinese.
2.2 English-taught programs:
IELTS (A) 6.5 or TOEFL IBT 90 or above received within the recent two years,（TOEFL MyBestTM&TOEFL essentials Scores accepted）
Other internationally recognized English proficiency tests with scores of the same level and proof of certificates is needed.
*TOEFL or IELTS Exemptions
The following types of applicants are exempt from taking the TOEFL or IELTS:
·Native speakers of English;
·The previous degree is fully taught in English.
3. Academic Requirement
3.1 Be a Bachelor’s degree holder;
Graduates who did not receive their degree certificates at the time of application should provide pre-graduation certificates issued by their schools or colleges to prove their ability to graduate smoothly and obtain their degree certificates by the end of July 2023.
3.2 Accepted by a prospective professor at Shanghai University
Choose supervisor online when choosing a major in the online application system and get accepted by a prospective professor.
Please note that it is not required to choose supervisor for the programs of School of Economics,MBA center and SILC Business School. The School will arrange soon after registration at Shanghai University.
3.3 Relevant postgraduate academic background is required, with GPA 2.5 or above（Note: 4-Point GPA System）；
3.4 Students applying to programs of arts must have relative academic background and submit a portfolio. Please refer to detailed application requirements under the program introduction on application website.
3.5 Some colleges give priority to applicants with work experience, such as MBA Center.

申请和录取步骤
1.安全与背景审查
上海大学国际学生安全与背景审查旨在通过询问申请人个人生活、学习背景及身体健康状况，了解申请人是否适合进入大学学习。请如实作答，学校将备案审查结果。
2.上海大学国际学生入学资格测试
本测试旨在衡量国际学生是否做好进入上海大学进行学历项目学习准备，仅限个人申请学历项目的国际学生。测试结果将作为我校录取与否的重要依据，请认真答题。

3. 关于面试
完成入学资格测试和安全背景审查之后，由招生工作人员和专业教师组织进行电话或视频面试。面试语 言根据申请专业的授课语言而定，时间在10-15分钟。
4.预付学费
上海大学对符合录取条件，并已发送电子录取通知书的学历项目自费申请人预收半学年或一学年学费。申请人在收到电子录取通知书及支付协议后20个工作日内完成学费预付。如超过20个工作日未预付学费，视为放弃。详情请参见《上海大学国际学生预付学费政策说明》。
1. Shanghai University Security and Background Check (SBC) for International Students
The purpose of SBC is to check whether the applicant’s personal condition is appropriate to enter the University. It includes questions about the applicant's personal background, education background and physical health. Please note that you must answer truthfully for verification, and the results will be put on record by Shanghai University.
2. University Qualification Assessment (UQA) for International Students
2.1 Only individual international applicants for degree programs are required to take UQA, which aims to evaluate whether an international student is eligible for degree programs in Shanghai University. Here is the portal for UQA: https://apply.shu.edu.cn/. Please note that you should take this test seriously, as the test results will be taken as an important consideration for admission. More information about UQA could be found in the following pie chart and samples:

3. About Interview
An interview will be arranged and conducted by the recruitment staff and professors via video conferencing or telephone for shortlisted candidates who have passed SBC and UQA. The interview is expected to last for 10-15 minutes, and the language used depends on the language of instruction of your degree program.
4. Tuition Deposit Payment
All applicants of degree programs must pay the tuition deposit (One-year or half a year tuition fee) after receiving the E-admission notice within 20 working days. If the payment is not completed after 20 days, it would be regarded as giving up. For detailed deposit policies, please refer to the attached Policies on Tuition Deposit Payment for Shanghai University International Students.

1.护照信息页
2.有效签证信息页（在华学生需提供）
近六个月内的护照尺寸证件照（免冠，正面，蓝色背景，一寸证件照(390*570) ，JPG 格式， 大小在 100K 以内）；
3.上传小视频 (内容:自我介绍及来华
学习计划，格式: avi, mov,mp4 三种均可，语言：根据申请专业的授课语言，大小在 50M 以内）;
4.本科毕业证书或学位证书复印件（应届毕业生可提供预毕业证明原件或公证件）；
5.本科阶段全部课程成绩单扫描件；
6.近两年内语言水平证书扫描件或成绩网页截屏（注册时须提供证书原件备查，推荐上传彩色扫描件）；
7.两封教授或副教授或相关领域专家的推荐信（需有推荐人签字和联系方式，注意推荐信日期不早于2022年9月）;
8.在线选择导师，取得导师审核通过
(注:申请以下学院硕士研究生项目无须在线选择导师，符合条件的录取者报到注册后由专业学院安排导师:
经济学院、MBA中心、悉尼工商学院);
9.上海大学国际研究生申请人研究计划。根据申请专业的授课语言，选择用中文或英文书写（不少于 800 字）（可在 https://apply.shu.edu.cn 下载模板）；
10.经济担保证明（可在 https://apply.shu.edu.cn 下载模板）;
11.无犯罪记录证明
备注：如无法在本国获得无犯罪记录证明， 可与学校签署《无犯罪记录承诺书》，可在https://apply.shu.edu.cn 下载模板。
12.申请艺术类专业需提供相关作品集。
注意：
1. 非中文或英文的文件，需附经公证的或发证单位提供的汉语/英语翻译件；
2. 以上材料申请时仅需要上传扫描件，（推荐上传彩色扫描件）开学报到时需提供原件备查；
3. 申请戏剧与影视学专业的研究计划需不少于2000字，内容可结合自身兴趣、学习及工作经历、所见所闻阐述研究方向、研究方向的原因、未来学习计划等。
1.ID photo
The passport-size photo (one-inch, 390*570) should be taken within the last six months, bareheaded, full-faced with blue-color background; the photo is required to submit as JPG image less than 100kb.
2.Information Page of Passport
A clear copy of your valid passport with your name, photo, birth date, place of birth, date of issue, date of expiry; Visa page is required for applicants who are currently in China.
Visa page is required for applicants who are not in their home country.
3.Selfie video
Applicants should submit a video including
self-introduction and study plan in China.
avi, mov, or mp4 less than 50 MB are accepted. The language of the video should be consistent with the language of the program you are applying for (English or Chinese).
4.Highest Degree Certificate and Official Transcripts
Graduates-to-be should present an original or notarized copy of pre-graduation certificate, and official transcripts of all courses completed by the time of application.
5.Language Proficiency Certificate
If the score sheet is not available at the time of application, applicants may upload a screen shot of your scores. But the original score sheet is required when registration.You’re highly recommended to upload color copies.
6.Statement of Financial Support

7.Two Letters of Recommendation with Signature
Written in English or Chinese by two different professors or associate professors or experts from related fields.
The referee’s signature and contact information are necessary.And the date of recommendation letter should not be earlier than September,2022.
8.Choose Supervisor online and Get Accepted
Please note that it is not required to choose supervisor for School of Economics, MBA center and SILC Business School.
9.Research Plan (including study plan and research proposal in China)
Written in English or Chinese (according to the teaching language of the program), more than 800 words, including research achievements so far (e.g. title and abstracts of graduation thesis or published paper), reasons of choosing SHU, study and research plan, future career plan, etc. (You can download the sample of Research plan at https://apply.shu.edu.cn/application/index)
10.Certificate of No Criminal Record
Note: for any applicants who can not get the Certificate of No Criminal Record at home country, please sign the No criminal record Commitment with Shanghai University.

11.Academic Research Documents (Refer to Departmental standards)
Applicants for art majors should provide relevant artworks (painting, audios or videos).
Please Note:
1. Documents not in Chinese or English should be accompanied with translations from notaries or issuing departments.
2. During application, only need to upload the scanned documents , (You are highly
recommended to upload the color copies)
and the original documents should be provided for reference when registration.
3. The research plan for applying for the major of Drama and Film Studies should be no less than 2000 words. The content can be combined with your own interests, learning and work experience, to explain your research direction, the reasons, and future study plan.

Note：
· The tuition fee and the tuition deposit for the programs of SILC Business School (SILC) should be paid to the bank account of SILC.
·Application fees are not refundable, whether admitted or not. The tuition deposit payment please refer to the attached Policies on Tuition Deposit Payment for Shanghai University International Students.
· The MBA Center provides academic scholarships for Business Administration (global local MBA) majors. For details, please consult the enrollment staff of the MBA Center.
