在本期红门探访计划，
我们很荣幸地收到艺术家农少华的邀请，
前往他位于北京宋庄的工作室参观。
As a part of the Studio Visit Program of Red Gate Gallery and Residency, we had the opportunity to visit Nong Shaohua's Studio located in Songzhuang, Beijing. Let's have a look at what we explored this time in his studio.

“我的艺术方式是潜意识幂想和世界交流、都市化和以往的农业化、现实感和非现实感、有序和无序、光明和黑暗、欢乐和压抑、扭曲和舒展、存在和虚无 [...] 我在现实与非现实之间游走漫步，我试图在引导者读者走进我的叙事圈套，并且让观众的期待屡屡落空，刺激看画的人对我的作品追问不止，同时对我们生存环境进行思考和追问。“

"My way of practising art is focused on communicating with the world subconsciously. I discuss the topics of urbanization and China's agricultural traditions. I am interested in the contrast between realism and illusion, order and chaos, light and darkness, happiness and depression, distortion and natural states, and being and non-being [...]. I enjoy walking through reality and fantasy, and attempt to involve the audience in the plots that I create in my paintings, and I want to see the audience question my works, so that they are pushed to rethink the natural and social environment in which we exist."

"初次见到农少华先生的时候 [...]，他的谈吐很平和直接，似乎还有点内敛的感觉，不太多评价什么。如果喜欢一样东西，就表示：“我喜欢～”，“今天我收获挺大的～”等等；如果想起什么不开心的事，也就表示，“最近，我和我女朋友分手了，我挺伤感的～”，或者就是，“我家里有点事，我特别难受～”，等等直性表达的方式居多。"
"第二次见面 [...]，工作室空间里堆满了完成或未完成的他的作品们 --- 横七竖八。再看他的作品们更是令人惊讶的 --- 细腻内心世界的多样结晶。"

"I remember the first time I met Mr Nong [...], his way of talking can be plain and peaceful, he seems to judge nothing. For example if he likes something, he would say very simply, "I like...", "I learnt a lot today...", words like that. When he recalls something unhappy, he would probably just tell you, "I broke up with my girlfriend and I'm sad.", or "something bad happened in my family, I don't feel good.”
When we met the second time [...], many of his finished and unfinished paintings were hanging and scattered around his studio. But when I looked at each of his paintings, I was amazed by the sensitive mind that was reflected in the paintings."

“在我看来，他的大多数作品，都是一个个“梦幻的现实”反映，近乎虚构的画面场景展现了他的内心世界。可以断言，他的图画境界是心理学或精神分析学意义上的。 [...] 农少华的性情更属于天赋感性的艺术家情趣。通常——，浊水、女人、性爱、烂头、群物、围观、捆缚、挤压、以及浑浊不清的色调场表现出了他心理世界的日常心印。”

"In my view, Nong's paintings are realistic visions of his dreamworld, which reveal his inner heart. I certainly believe that his art is best understood through disciplines such as psychology and psychoanalysis.[...] He is a talented artist with a naturally sensitive heart that allows him to feel the world. Usually women, sex, rotten heads, dirty ponds, crowds, onlookers, binding, squeezing, and unclear scenes with vague color make-up the reflection of his ordinary heart."
