联合国教科文组织驻华代表处主任夏泽翰教授访问好未来集团
2021年7月26日,联合国教科文组织驻华代表处主任夏泽翰教授访问了好未来集团(以下简称“好未来”)。好未来执行总裁万怡挺博士对夏泽翰教授一行的友好来访表示热烈欢迎。双方回顾了联合国教科文组织与好未来的现有合作框架,就科技赋能教育相关议题进行了深入探讨。双方均表示,希望基于现有合作框架继续探索双方在教育信息通讯技术领域的潜在合作方向。
夏泽翰教授在开场致辞中对好未来向联合国教科文组织提供的支持表示感谢,这些支持旨在促进人工智能在教育中的应用、移动学习周,以及疫情期间为支持其他国家的教育体系而共同开展的能力建设。同时,他也进一步表达了对好未来的最诚挚感谢,感谢其在同中国政府共同举办的2019年首届国际人工智能与教育大会中所建立的坚实伙伴关系、所做出的突出贡献、以及所提出的建议。大会通过的《北京共识——人工智能与教育》已影响了所有联合国教科文组织成员国。联合国教科文组织一行随后参观了好未来的展示大厅,在好未来职员的演示下,体验了好未来智慧教室Wisroom和“AI老师汉语学习系统” 等教育技术平台,同时参观了好未来教具的展台,翻阅了好未来旗下学而思的定制丛书。夏泽翰教授表示,好未来创新性的教育科技手段和教具让课堂内的教与学过程更具活力、互动性和趣味性。
夏泽翰教授和万怡挺博士都表示愿意进一步加强并扩展双方既有的合作关系,并将在此既有合作的基础上共同探索更多前沿课题,例如STEM教育(科学、技术、工程和数学教育)、可持续发展教育、全球公民教育等。同时,双方也将发挥各自所长和经验,在中国和联合国体系共同推动的南南合作框架下,分享好未来和中国在教育信息通讯技术方面的最佳实践,从而助益更多发展中国家,同时为2030年可持续发展议程做出进一步贡献。

Prof. Shahbaz Khan, Director of UNESCO Beijing Office Paid a Courtesy Visit to TAL Education Group
On 26 July 2021, Prof. Shahbaz Khan, Director and Representative of UNESCO Beijing Office visited TAL Education Group (hereinafter referred to as "TAL"). Dr. Wan Yiting, Executive President of TAL, extended a warm welcome to Prof. Khan and his delegation’s courtesy visit to the premises of TAL. The two sides reviewed the existing framework for cooperation between UNESCO and TAL and discussed initiatives on technology enabled education. Both parties expressed the mutual interest to explore the potential areas of cooperation in the field of ICT in Education based on the existing framework for cooperation. Prof. Khan in his opening remarks acknowledged the support provided by TAL to UNESCO to promote AI in education, Mobile Learning Week and joint capacity building to support education systems in other countries during the COVID-19 pandemic. He further expressed his deepest appreciation to TAL for the solid partnership and contribution in organizing together with the Chinese Government the first very successful 2019 International Conference on AI in Education and the recommendation, the “Beijing Consensus” on AI in Education had impacted all the Member States of UNESCO. The UNESCO delegation was then taken on a tour of the exhibition hall by TAL staff showing the EdTech platforms such as TAL's smart classroom--Wisroom and "AI Teacher to Teach Chinese", and were shown the booth of TAL’s teaching toolkits and read the customized materials of Xueersi. Prof. Khan commented that TAL’s EdTech innovative approaches in teaching and learning toolkits enable the teaching and learning process inside the classroom more dynamic, interactive and interesting.Prof. Khan and Dr. Wan Yiting acknowledged the mutual interest and desire to further strengthen and expand on the existing cooperation between the two organizations. UNESCO and TAL will explore more cutting-edge topics on the basis of the existing cooperation, such as STEM Education (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), and Global Citizenship Education (GCED), etc. The two sides could utilize their experience and technical expertise, to share best practices of TAL and China in ICT in education to benefit more developing countries under the South-South Cooperation framework promoted by China and the United Nations System and further contribute to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
