Step out of the classroom with Culture Yard and join us on our Mandarin Immersion Trip to a local fresh food market! 

This Mandarin Immersion Trip is a language orientated trip. It is your chance to have a real-life learning experience with the guidance of a teacher.

About the Trip

The trip will begin at our cosy hutong courtyard in Beixinqiao. Here you will receive a handout and a short introductory lesson on the vocabulary and phrases needed for the trip. After the short lesson, we will walk to the nearby market and you'll practise what you've just learnt while getting your five-a-day! 

By the end of the trip, you will be able to identify different fruit and vegetables, understand Chinese weights and use short phrases to complete a transaction.

齐老师

Hongyan has been teaching at Culture Yard since 2013. Her students love her for her warmth, patience and encouragement.

Hongyan holds a Master’s in Chinese Literature. She has more than 15 years' experience in teaching, curriculum development, and teacher training at universities and language training schools.
