CISBe In The Know - Our NEW Cafeteria
During the summer holidays, our cafeteria has been completely redesigned! At the beginning of this school year, we interviewed Sodexo staff to let everyone know more information about Sodexo.
在暑假期间,索迪斯公司对我校餐厅进行了新的装修设计,给大家带来了耳目一新的感觉。开学之际,我们对索迪斯的工作人员进行了采访,让大家对索迪斯有更进一步的了解。

Student meals focus on health and nutrition as well as higher quality than normal restaurants.

学生餐更注重健康及营养的搭配,同时比外面的餐馆需要更高的饮食标准。
We have a nutritionist, Cindy, who helps students plan their meals.
餐厅配备营养师Cindy每天为孩子们准备健康营养的午饭。
All menus are based on the daily amount of nutrition recommended for different age groups. We choose fresh seasonal vegetables, and we also provide students with various choices of Chinese dishes and Western cuisine.
她会根据学生在不同年龄段所需补充的营养,进行食物的合理搭配。我们会选用当季的时令蔬菜,并且为学生提供中餐和西式简餐的多种选择。
For our menu design, it not only has nutritional facts, but also has food traffic lights on it. In other words, this is a guide to healthy food choices. We use 3 different colors to represent different meanings. Red means high-calorie food, yellow means moderate, green means less fat, less sugar, less salt, healthy food. In this way, we hope to help students develop good eating habits.
在我们的菜单设计上,不仅标有营养成分表的内容比例;我们还会用红黄绿三种不同颜色,去标记出营养指示图。红色代表高热量食物,黄色代表适中,绿色代表少脂,少糖,少盐,健康的食物。我们希望通过这样的方式,让学生养成一个良好的饮食习惯。

First, all of our ingredients are purchased on the same day, and we make food in cafeteria. In order to keep food warm, we put the food in an incubator with the temperature set at least 60 degrees. Secondly, we also provide on-site cooking, such as spaghetti, so students have fresh cooked food.
我们的食材都是当天采购,当天在学校的厨房进行食品加工。加工好之后,为确保学生吃到的食物一直都是热的,我们会把食物放在温度不低于60度的保温箱中进行保温。我们还会提供现场制作,如意大利面,这样学生就可以吃到新鲜出炉的食物了。

Sodexo is to provide diverse, safe and healthy food to our students.

We really understand their concerns. All of our ingredients are non-transgenic, and all of our vegetables have certified testing reports. This year, we have a raw material display area at cafeteria, which shows the raw materials and spices we use. In addition, we also have real-time control monitor in the kitchen, so everyone can watch us.
我们的食材都是选用非转基因的,而且所有蔬菜都有国家合格的检测报告。今年,我们在学校的餐厅放有了一个原材料展示柜,里面有展示我们所用的原材料、调料等。除此之外,在厨房里,我们有实时监控,对食物严控把关。
During the renovation, you can find a lot of Canadian elements, such as maple leaf and raw wood grain. At the same time, we also choose red and white color match to the school. As you can see, cafeteria has middle/high and elementary eating areas. On the elementary side, there is a demo-kitchen that can show students how to cook food. We hope provide an interesting and interactive space for students and families.
这次装修,我们加入了很多加拿大元素,如枫叶,原木纹。为了和学校颜色相互对应,在颜色的搭配上,我们也选用了红白配色。餐厅大致分为几个部分,初高中和小学的就餐区域是分开的;今年我们还特别设计了一个厨房体验区,我们希望能为学生和家长提供一个更好的互动区域。
We are communicating with the school and the PTA to host some food events later in the school year. At that time, we welcome all students and parents join us!
我们正在和学校,以及家委会积极的沟通当中,准备开设烹饪课程。届时,欢迎学生和家长参加我们举办的活动。
