今天，我们在庆祝巴西历史的一个篇章

Today, a part of Brazil’s history is celebrated.

在1978年，圣西芒水电站落成

In 1978, São Simão hydroelectric plant was inaugurated,

创造了当时水电站建设的纪录

built in record time

电站的大坝长达3.5公里

With its dam that extended for 3500 meters,

最大高度为127米，有六台机组在运

maximum height of 127 meters and 6 turbines in operation,

总装机容量达171万千瓦

the power plant can generate up to 1.710 MegaWatts,

提供的电力可供拥有600万居民的城市使用

Which is enough to supply a city of 6 million habitants.

在这40年里

Through these 40 years,

水电站持续地运营

the operation did not stop evolving.

在2018年5月

In May 2018,

国家电投巴西公司实现了水电站的运维接管

SPIC Brazil took over the power plant,

这是圣西芒水电站的一个里程碑

another mark in this history.

现在，公司重申了对水电站实施全面技改的承诺

And now, the company reaffirms its commitment to the modernization of the plant,

以实现高质量和技术再运营水电站30年的目标

in order to operate with quality and technology for another 30 years.
