According to China Daily, TheThird Maritime Silk Road International Brand Expo and the 20th Straits Textile& Clothing Fair is to be held in Shishi in Fujian province from April 18 to20, followed by Shishi Fashion Week from April 24 to 27. This year, the eventwill highlight the ideas of innovation and entrepreneurship, promoting Shishias a center of the casualwear industry, and will also introduce moreinternational cooperation and exchanges with the countries along the ancientMaritime Silk Road.

Myanmar has expected over 6 billion U.S. dollars of foreigninvestment inflow in this fiscal year 2017-2018, official media reportedTuesday. Myanmar Investment Commission (MIC) permitted 15 foreign enterprises'investment worth 79.464 million U.S. dollars in the first week of April,bringing the total to 164.375 million U.S. dollars at the beginning of thisfiscal year 2017-18 and creating 9478 job opportunities, according to the Xinhua News Agency.

China’s Xinhua News Agencysays that, At the 18th China-ASEAN Joint Cooperation Committee (ACJCC) meetingheld in ASEAN Secretariat here on Monday, officials from the two sides made acommitment that marking the excellence of being dialogue partners for 25 years,China and ASEAN countries will further enhance the strategic partnership byenhancing mutual respect, understanding, trust, support and pragmaticcooperation. Chinese Ambassador to ASEAN Xu Bu said that two-way trade hassoared to 452.2 billion U.S. dollars last year. China has become ASEAN'slargest trading partner, while ASEAN is China's third largest trading partner,the fourth largest export market and the second largest source of imports.

According the Straits Times,NINE memoranda of understanding were signed on Wednesday between Singapore andShanghai financial institutions and corporates. The signings were part of thethird Singapore-Shanghai Financial Forum (SSFF) organised in Singapore, andheld by the Monetary Authority of Singapore with the Shanghai MunicipalFinancial Services Office. The SSFF is an annual forum that brings togetherindustry participants from Singapore and Shanghai to discuss pertinent marketdevelopments and explore financial collaboration opportunities. More than 200participants from Singapore and Shanghai attended the SSFF.
