Early Round Offers for the Class of 2024!

This fall, the members of the class of 2024 have been very busy. Working with the University Counselling team, they have submitted over 760 applications to universities in 10 countries. The United States remains the most popular choice, with many students finding success with their early-round applications.
DCB’s Early Round University offers
The Class of 2024 received Early Decision admissions offers from Brandeis University, Columbia University, New York University, and Northeastern University. Early Action and Rolling Decision applicants were successful at outstanding schools, as well. Applicants to the United Kingdom have received offers from a variety of universities, many of which are members of the Russell Group or well-known in the creative arts. Students also received offers from excellent universities in Hong Kong and Canada. The full list of universities is included below.
What is the Early Round?
Students applying through Early Decision and Early Action programs in the United States, which generally have application deadlines between October 15 and November 15, choose to do so in order to receive an admissions decision earlier, in mid-December, than they would for their regular decision applications.
Many universities that offer a regular round for applications also offer an early round. For highly motivated students who already know which university they would like to go to, there are many benefits to applying early, including:
increased chances of admission,
quicker admission decision, which allows applicants more time to either prepare for university instead of preparing college applications or, for those who aren’t admitted to their choice of school, time to apply elsewhere.
While there are advantages to applying to an early round, it can be very competitive. US Early Decision rounds, for example, may have higher acceptance rates, but these candidates are often the best of the best. Therefore, it’s important to first evaluate whether you’ll be a strong applicant in an already competitive group.
Early Decision vs Early Action Applications
Early Decision programs are binding, meaning the student is expected to attend that school if accepted, while Early Action decisions are not, which means students don’t have to make a decision until the traditional Regular Round deadline. Regular Decision deadlines generally fall between January 1 and 15 and students are notified of the university's decision around April 1.
Early round applications in other parts of the world
Students applying to the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge were required to submit their applications by October 16, 2024, as are students applying to Medicine and Veterinary Medicine courses in the UK. Many of our students chose to submit their applications to other UK universities in November and December, and have already received offers, which are listed below. Many universities in Hong Kong and Canada offer early-round applications, as well.

何为早申？
在美国，通过早决定（Early Decision）和早行动（Early Action）申请的学生通常在10月15日至11月15日之间提出申请，这样可以在12月中旬比常规申请更早地收到录取。
许多大学在常规申请之外也接受早申。如果学生已经知道自己想上哪所大学，且积极性很高，尽早申请有很多好处，包括：
