Oriental Pearl Tower in Shanghai lit up in colors of Israeli flag as part of Israel Week in Shanghai, began by spotlighting the country in the biggest festival in China. Israeli performers Inbal dance troupe, violinist Itzhak Perlman, pianist Yaron Kohlberg and songstress Ester Rada regaled Chinese audiences, as she was hounded by local autograph-seeking fans after her set.

Israeli life expectancy among highest in world
以色列人均寿命居世界前列
Israel's average life expectancy, 82.5 years, is sixth highest in world. World Health Organization report 2017 on global life expectancy;Worldwide, the life expectancy for a baby born in 2015 is now 73.8 for women, and 69.1 for men.Israel comes in 6th place overall. When the results are split by gender, Israel has the 5th highest male life expectancy, with 80.6 years, and the 9th highest for women, 84.3 years.

An Israeli state-of-the-art space laboratory hosting 4 science experiments docked in the International Space Station Tuesday after a successful launch.The space lab, built by Israeli company SpacePharma is unique in that it requires no physical human contact, as it is controlled remotely by researchers on Earth.
