Air India gets OK to fly to Israel via Saudi airspace

India's national carrier has secured permission to begin direct flights between New Delhi and Tel Aviv that will pass through Saudi airspace, starting next week.This means shortening flight time by two hours and a significant lower price.The decision by Saudi Arabia to allow fly through its airspace to Tel Aviv reflects what is believed to be a warming of ties between the two countries.

2019 budget approved

The state budget in 2019 will amount to 397.3 billion shekels;the education budget will be 60 billion shekels, health budget will be 38 billion, welfare and Holocaust survivors budget will amount to 13 billion, allowances for disabled persons will amount to 2 billion,the Ministry of Defense budget will amount to 63 billion shekels.-"it raises budgets in unprecedented magnitude; this budget greatly increases the health budget. More for the education, it raises the defense budget, it raises the welfare budget, it lowers taxes.”

Israel’s unemployment rate stands at 3.7%. The last time unemployment was this low was 45 years ago before the 1973 Yom Kippur War. For the first time, more women than men are in work.

Public transport fares down 40%

The government plans lowering public transport fares on inter-urban routes by 40% in 2018. Daily and monthly tickets will also be available for unrestricted travel throughout the country.
