2018 China public holiday dates announced
Workers of Beijing, it's here. It's the moment we've all been waiting for: the government has released the official 2018 public holiday calendar a few weeks early this year, which means even more time to plan that perfect vacay or prep for your visitors' impending arrival.
'But how many days do we get?' We hear you ask. Well, officially 27. But by the time you take out the weekend days included in the holiday count (ten) and take into account the make-up work days over the weekends (six), we're looking at 11 days off work in total.
Here's the list of public holidays for 2018:
New Year's Day 2018 Mon 1 Jan (also including Sat 30-Sun 31 Dec 2017).
Chinese New Year/Spring Festival 2018 Thu 15-Wed 21 Feb, make-up work days: Sun 11 and Sat 24 Feb (as reported by multiple English language media sources).
