NEW: High and Middle-Risk Areas in China

• The Chinese mainland reported 33 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, including 17 locally transmitted cases.


• Xiaoguozhuang village in Shijiazhuang, North China's Hebei Province, raised its COVID-19 emergency response level to high-risk. China has not had a COVID-19 high-risk area since December 12.


• It is recommended to avoid travel. If you do travel, please be sure to confirm the epidemic prevention requirements with the local epidemic prevention command department, airport, hotel and community before travelling, in order to avoid the risk of being quarantined.


 High & Medium-Risk Areas in China

If you've visited any of the areas below, or your office/ living address is registered in one of those areas, you might risk being quarantined when you visit another city or region.

If you've visited any of the areas mentioned above, please socially distance and get a test immediately. If you have symptoms, please visit the hospital for a COVID-19 test.

 1 High Risk + 49 Medium-Risk Areas 

The Chinese mainland reported 33 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, including 17 locally transmitted cases. Hebei Province on Tuesday reported 14 new confirmed cases and 30 asymptomatic cases. 
Xiaoguozhuang village in Shijiazhuang, North China's Hebei Province, raised its COVID-19 emergency response level to high-risk on Tuesday, becoming the only high-risk area in China at the moment. The village reported eight new locally transmitted cases on Tuesday. The first COVID-19 case found in Hebei Province on Sunday was from the village. 

Another village in Shijiazhuang was designated a medium-risk area on Monday, where three local cases were newly reported Tuesday. Shijiazhuang entered "wartime mode" on Monday as part of efforts to prevent the spread of the disease. 

City of Xingtai and a township in city of Zhangjiakou also announced on Tuesday that they were entering "wartime" status and strengthening all COVID-19 prevention and control measures for key personnel and areas.

As of Tuesday, China has one high-risk area and 48 medium-risk areas, of which 32 are located in Northeast China's Liaoning Province, seven in Beijing, six in Northeast China's Heilongjiang Province and three in Hebei. 

China has not had a COVID-19 high-risk area since December 12.

 Recommended to avoid Travel 

It is recommended to avoid travel. If you do travel, please be sure to confirm the epidemic prevention requirements with the local epidemic prevention command department, airport, hotel and community before travelling, in order to avoid the risk of being quarantined.

Make sure to apply for the local health code when traveling.
