EaSI Technical Assistance
EaSI Technical Assistance (EaSI TA) is a part of the first axis of the Employment and Social Innovation (EaSI) Programme which is an EU level financing instrument, funded by the European Commission. Its third axis aims to increase the availability and accessibility of microfinance for vulnerable groups and micro enterprises, build up the institutional capacity of microcredit providers and increase access to finance for social enterprises.

PART I - Green Inclusive Finance: what is it and why is it relevant? | EaSI Technical Assistance webinar
This first part of our Green Inclusive Finance training series provides an introduction to the concept of green inclusive finance and its various dimensions: green strategy, climate vulnerability, environmental impact, and green products and services. It explores the relevance of green inclusive finance and opportunities to engage in this topic, providing practical examples and case studies for inspiration.

PART II - Assessing the Environmental Performance of Financial institutions | EaSI Technical Assistance webinar
As the second part of our Green Inclusive Finance series, this training entitled “Assessing the Environmental Performance of Financial Institutions” will introduce the Green Index methodology and tool to assess MFIs’ environmental management. In an interactive setup, the speaker will present the Green Index, including standards, essential practices, and indicators, and guide participants in filling out the Green Index. Each MFI will fill out the Green Index during the workshop and be provided practical examples on how other MFIs have improved their environmental management and performance.

PART III - Green Products in Inclusive Finance | EaSI Technical Assistance webinar
The Green Products training is the third part of our Green Inclusive Finance series. It will provide an introduction to the methodology, processes, and key milestones related to green product development. The session will also cover how to disburse, monitor, and report on green products. Practical case studies will be presented to show how various MFIs have successfully implemented green products.

PART IV - Gap Analysis and Planning Green Activities | EaSI Technical Assistance webinar
The workshop entitled “Gap Analysis and Green Activity Planning” is the fourth and final part of our Green Inclusive Finance series, and will be building on Part II on environmental performance assessment. The results of the Green Index assessment from the previous session will be communicated to each MFI in advance via email, along with the benchmark (the average value of all the scores of the MFIs that participated in the previous session). We will also send a short survey with 5-10 questions regarding the MFI’s green inclusive finance plan. In the workshop, we will present the overall results of the environmental assessment done in the previous session and undertake a gap analysis. We will then present a methodology for MFIs to plan green activities in order to improve their environmental performance and achieve their green objectives. Practical examples will be provided.
