Job Description
TITLE: Electronics Design & Development Engineer
LOCATION:Xiamen
REPORTS TO:Lead of Electronics Design & Development Engineer in Xiamen
SUMMARY:
As an Electronics Engineer, you will be working on electronic lock and intelligent lock products. You will be working closely with research and development teams in California including electronics, software and mechanical engineers. You will be responsible for schematic design, PCB layout, supplier selection and evaluation, product and/or board level testing and documentation support. In addition, you will be responsible for evaluating, testing, validating, and having the ability to reduce costs, integrate, maintain, and analyze existing products.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
You will be working in Xiamen but aligned with the team members in Lake Forest, USA where the head quarters are located. You will have regular meetings to agree on project progress and updates with engineering team members or colleagues from other departments. You will strive to be a bridge between suppliers and manufacturers。

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design or update schematics, PCB Layout or components/parts librarian.
Conduct manufacturing failure analysis by troubleshooting, evaluating, analyzing and testing failed products; report results; propose solutions.
Support or lead cost reductions, second sourcing and quality improvement activities for a design, product, process or productivity improvement
Report projects progress, issues, risks and potential solutions
设计或者更改原理图，PCB Layout以及建立元器件库。
通过检修、评估、分析和测试不良品进行故障分析、报告结果并提出解决方案。

Requirements:
B.S. Electronics or Computer Engineering Degree
A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3-5 years related experience or a Master's degree and a minimum of 1-3 years related experience.
Strongexperience with schematics capture, PCB board layout tools – preferable Mentor Graphics PADs.
Able to troubleshoot, analyze and identify root cause(s) to problems and propose solutions
Fluent in English both reading and writing.
Some travel is required.

Job Summary
The Sr. Firmware Engineer (Embedded Software) is a key member of the Engineering team. You will be leading the development efforts on existing and new smart electronic locks. As a member on the development team, you will be leading and involved in developing new solutions, products, concepts, features and the integration of our smart electronic locks into our ecosystem or our partners’ ecosystems.
You will contribute to and be responsible for all phases of embedded firmware development. Specific responsibilities will be associated with the design, development, integration, maintenance, testing, quality and performance assurance of firmware in support of new wireless electronic lock solutions and partners’ integration.You will be working with a cross functional team members: firmware and hardware engineers, mobile applications and cloud developers, software testing team and non-technical team members.

Education and Experience Profile
BS or MS Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
More than 3 years of professional software development experience

Required Skills
Strong industry experience in embedded firmware/software development for microcontrollers
Strong design experience in C/C++ for embedded applications
Experience with chip-to-chip communication protocols or interfaces (I2C, SPI. UART, etc.)
Experience writing firmware for low power battery-operated consumer devices utilizing ARM, MSP430 or compatible micro-controllers with small memory sizes.
Strong sense of urgency and ownership.
Strong communication, passionate, flexible, collaborative, works independently, sets own goals and has a “can-do” positive attitude
Fluent in English both reading and writing
Some travel is required
