"In the End" is a song by American rock band Linkin Park, with lyrics and music by Chester Bennington, Brad Delson, Joseph Han, Mike Shinoda, and Rob Barden. The song was released on October 9, 2001 as the fourth single from Linkin Park's debut studio album Hybrid Theory. On November 30, 2004, a remix with rapper Jay-Z was released. And On August 29, 2002, the song won the MTV Video Music Awards for Best Rock Video and was nominated for Video of the Year and Best Team Video. The song was created in a windowless recording studio in Hollywood. The prototype of "In the End" was conceived by Mike Shinoda. After coming up with a prototype for "In the End", Mike played the song to the band's drummer Rob Bardem, who thought it would be perfect for Hybrid Theory, and the band worked on it. The original title of the song was "untitled".
"In the End" sounds good with rap, sampling, rock and roll and very well written lyrics. The climax of the song is a very beautiful transition from high pitch to low tone, which makes many young people who are anxious and lost in the four walls find some healing comfort and resonance full of shock. At a time when neo-metal music was losing its audience, Linkin Park managed to set itself apart with this combination of neo-metal and rap. "In the End" is a song of sacred shock. It tells youth is gradually passing constantly giving up.
《最终》是美国摇滚乐队林肯公园演唱的歌曲，由查斯特·贝宁顿、布莱德·德尔森、约瑟夫·韩、麦克·信田、罗伯·巴登填词、谱曲。歌曲被收录在林肯公园首张录音室专辑《混合理论》中。歌词描写的是林肯公园主唱查斯特·贝宁顿的成长奋斗经历。歌曲的MV由弥敦·考克斯和约瑟夫·韩执导，运用了大量三维动画拍摄技术。MV中的背景拍摄于加利福利亚州的荒地，而林肯公园的表演场景则在洛杉矶录制。MV中，麦克·信田站在荒地中说唱，随后，一些棘手的藤蔓出现，然而他身边的藤蔓却马上粉碎成灰尘；第二段时，藤蔓越来越多，麦克·信田的周围还长出了许多草；副歌后，天空变暗，雨水来临，林肯公园所在的法老雕像塔中飞出许多蝙蝠；最后，塔上的几个雕像“活了”，大雨停止，荒漠变成了绿洲。
