金曲·特稿｜Memory：缅怀本刊老作者、著名翻译家薛范先生
惊悉卓越歌词翻译家薛范先生因病医治无效，于2022年9月2日21时31分在上海交通大学医学院附属第九人民医院逝世，享年88岁。
薛先生1934年9月出生于上海，毕业于上海俄语专科学校进修班。他长期从事外国歌曲的译介和研究工作，译配了大量脍炙人口的海外经典歌曲，广为传唱。他于2005年获中国翻译协会“资深翻译家”荣誉称号，2022年获中国翻译协会“翻译文化终身成就奖”。
薛先生是本刊资深作者，深受大家敬重，曾多年主持杂志的歌曲栏目。自1991年第1期的《回忆》（Memory）至2011年第1期的《快乐的劳动歌》（Happy Working Song），他为读者译配推介了150余首英文歌，为杂志的发展做出了不可磨灭的贡献。
今天，我们特推介薛先生在杂志上发表的第一首译配歌曲以为缅怀，感谢他对本刊多年的支持，愿他一路走好！

音乐剧 Cats（《猫》）是根据著名诗人 Thomas S. Eliot 的一首诗改编的。此剧于1982年在伦敦上演，曾轰动一时，后去纽约百老汇上演，也盛况空前，连演几年不衰。剧中的一些著名唱段（尤其是这首 Memory），不胫而走，流传遍及欧美各国。这首歌常被一些歌唱家和流行歌手选作演出曲目，各人根据自己的特点适当加以改编。这里发表的是美国著名影、剧、歌三栖明星 Barbra Streisand 的演唱谱。
