Q
How to Prevent Our Money From Being Stolen ?
Try not to click web links in text messages, for banks usually don't send messages with web links. And don't reply your personal information as required by text messages, especially your ID number or bank card number.
Don't just scan some unknown QR code or connect your smart phone to some unknown WIFI. And download Apps at reliable App stores.
Memorize the official website of the bank or add it to your list of Favorites. And don't click any given web link to log in to the bank website.
Please use a safe browser when you need to enter a password to make a payment.
Don't log in the bank website or Alipay when using computers in public places, for example, at cybercafes.
Don't save a large amount of money in your Alipay account or Wechat Wallet.
When you enter a password on your mobile phone, don't use any third-party software keyboard. Because the third party may crack your password by checking the frequencies at which you press each key on the keyboard.
Bank Card Fraud is usually committed by those who steal information from the magnetic stripes in bank cards and make counterfeit cards.
Although new bank cards with IC chips are safer, they still have magnetic stripes. And if information is stolen from the magnetic stripes, the new bank cards can still be cloned.
Here Are Some Tips From HACOS:
When you use your bank card at an ATM( especially one at some desolate place), do remember to check the slot and make sure if there's anything that may be used to steal your information.
When you use a POS terminal, try not to give your card to anyone else and you must be watching when someone is using your card. And if your card has an IC chip, don't let anyone else swipe your card at a POS terminal.
Whenever you enter a password, do remember to block it by your hands.
Before you throw receipts from an ATM or POS terminal, shred them first.
Try not to use debit cards on a POS terminal.
Try not to let someone else use your card. And keep your password secret.
Use SMS alerts service.

What Should I Do If I Receive SMS Alerts About Payments While the Card Is Still In My Hand And Not Being Used?
This means your card has been counterfeited and used.
The lawbreakers usually open POS terminals in other cities and steal your money by swiping your cloned card on them, which seems like payments have been made at stores in other cities.
Sometimes, the message even says cash has been withdrawn from the card.
Please Stay Calm And Do the Following Things:
Call the bank , report the loss of your card and stop payment immediately( the bank's phone number is on the back of the bank card).
Don't ever think about transferring your money at the bank website, for the lawbreakers are much faster than you.
Go to the Police Bureau with your card, report everything to the policemen and prove that the card is in your hand. And remember to keep the police report.
Go to the nearest ATM and let it swallow your card. Then go to the bank to reclaim your card and keep the bank document so as to create an alibi for your card. In this way, you can prove that your card is counterfeited and used by someone else.
Go to your issuing bank to ask for more help.
So, these are some warnings and handling methods after theft of money in banks.
As those frauds will get better and better at this, we'd better keep alert and prevent our money from being stolen. Hope this article can be helpful for you guys in China.
