霍金遗作出版：“没有上帝也没有来世”

在《时间简史》一书中，斯蒂芬·霍金教授对于造物主是否真的存在这一问题描述得模棱两可，说只有找到一套完整的宇宙理论才能让人类了解上帝的思想。

然而在16日出版的他的遗作《对大问题的简明回答》(Brief Answers To The Big Questions)中，霍金给出了明确的答复：上帝是不存在的，人也没有来世，当然也没有天堂。

"No one created the universe and no one directs our fate. This leads me to a profound realisation: there is probably no heaven and afterlife either. I think belief in the afterlife is just wishful thinking." 

"There is no reliable evidence for it, and it flies in the face of everything we know in science. I think that when we die we return to dust. But there is a sense we live on, in our influence, and in the genes we pass to our children." Source: telegraph.co.uk

除了这10个“基本问题”以外，书中还披露了霍金关于人为操纵DNA是非常危险的警告，他预言：基因工程将会创造出一个新的人种，从而毁灭其他人类。

这个新人种被霍金称为“超人”(superhumans)，他担心如果有钱人有机会改变孩子的DNA的话，那么经此催生出的新人种可能会表现出更高的智力、更长的寿命和对疾病更强的抵抗力，从而给“未经改善的人”带来危机。

He wrote: "I am sure that during this century people will discover how to modify both intelligence and instincts such as aggression." "Laws will probably be passed against genetic engineering with humans.
