埃及4400年壁画：别摸我，油漆未干！

古墓在文明古国埃及来说并不算是什么特别稀奇的存在了。不过，今天中午，一则关于埃及古墓的消息却猝不及防地冲上了微博热搜第二。

上周末，埃及文物部在官推上宣布发现古埃及第五王朝时期的古墓，这座约4400年前的古墓内有色彩鲜艳的壁画，铭文保存完整。

Discovered last month, the tomb—located in the vast ancient burial ground of Saqqara, south of the capital Cairo—dates back to the Fifth Dynasty, which reigned for around 150 years from the early 25th century B.C. to the mid-24th century B.C., AFP reported. 

据法新社报道，这座古墓是上个月在首都开罗以南萨卡拉的大型墓地中发现的，可以追溯到第五王朝时期。第五王朝大约持续了150年，从公元前25世纪初到公元前24世纪中期。

The tomb is largely made from white limestone bricks and, notably, the inside is adorned with elaborate paintings and inscriptions made with royal colors. According to Egyptian antiquities minister Khaled al-Enani, some of these works were made using a special resin and oils that are used in the burial process.

古墓主要是由白色的石灰石砖建造而成。值得注意的是，它的里面装饰着色彩艳丽的精美壁画和铭文。据埃及文物部长Khaled al-Enani介绍，其中一些古物是由一种特殊的树脂和油制成的，在下葬的过程中使用。

文物部长Khaledal-Enani还邀请了不少外国使节、文化专员对古墓进行了实地考察。

The tomb is thought to belong to an official named Khuwy, who was believed to have been a nobleman during the Fifth Dynasty.

专家认为这座古墓属于第五王朝时期一个名叫库威的贵族。

Mohamed Mujahid, head of the excavation team, says the tomb is L-shaped, with a small corridor leading down to an antechamber. Beyond, a larger chamber has walls covered by painted reliefs that show Khuwy sitting at a table for offerings.

考古小组负责人穆罕默德·穆贾希德说，古墓呈L型，有一条小走廊通往一间前厅。在另一间更大的房间里，墙壁上布满着彩绘的浮雕画，画中库维坐在一张供品桌旁。

Several paintings remain brightly colored despite the passage of time, in shades associated with royalty, and boasts a tunnel entrance that is usually only found in pyramids.

尽管时间在推移，但这几幅画依然色彩明亮，色调充满了皇室感。（古墓还）拥有着一个通常只在金字塔中才能见到的洞穴入口。

These features have made archaeologists question the relationship between Khuwy, an official, and Djedkare Isesi, the pharaoh of the time, whose pyramid sits nearby.

这些特征使得考古学家开始思考库威和当时的法老杰德卡拉·伊西斯之间的关系，后者的金字塔就在附近。
