外媒盛赞海上阅兵式展现中国海军实力!

今天是中国海军成立70周年纪念日，青岛及其附近海空域将举行海上阅兵。

为庆祝中国海军70华诞，60余国海军代表团和10余国舰艇应邀参加多国海军活动。

在众多海军活动中，还包括一场海上阅兵式。不少外媒都盛赞海上阅舰式展现中国海军实力。

英国《金融时报》评论说中国通过海上阅兵展示日渐壮大的海军实力，建立起同外国海军的联系、激发民族自豪感。

China will showcase its rapidly growing naval power this week with a parade at sea aimed at signalling its strengths to rivals, building ties with other militaries and rallying patriotic feelings at home.

本周，中国将通过海上阅兵展示其快速增强的海军实力，向其对手展示实力、与他国军队打造友好关系，并在国内激发民族自豪感。

After more than two decades of growing military spending, China is transforming a navy once limited to coastal defence into a force capable of patrolling its near seas and venturing out into the high seas globally — two steps it considers vital for protecting its national interests.

随着20多年来国防投入的不断增加，中国正将曾局限于近海防御的海军转化为一支海上劲旅，不仅能在近海开展巡逻活动，还能进入全球公海——这被中国视为保护其国家利益的至关重要的两个步骤。

“The biggest areas of PLAN progress seem to me to be in their advanced [guided missile destroyers and the Type 55 ‘cruiser’, all of which appear to be equipped with anti-air warfare systems similar to Aegis,” said Bernard Cole, a retired US naval officer.

而美国《国家利益》杂志则撰文提醒美国海军，中国可能很快就会成为航空母舰超级大国。

The People’s Liberation Army Navy—more commonly known outside of China as the Chinese Navy—is modernizing at a breakneck pace.

人民解放军海军——外界更为人所知的名称是中国海军——正以极快的速度实现现代化。

Chinese shipbuilders have built more than one hundred warships in the past decade, a build rate outstripping the mighty U.S. Navy. 

中国造船厂在过去十年中已经建造了超过百艘战舰，这个建造速度超过了强大的美国海军。

Most importantly, China now has two aircraft carriers—Liaoning and a second ship under sea trials—and a third and possibly fourth ship under construction. 

更重要的是，中国目前拥有两艘航空母舰——辽宁舰以及正在进行海试的第二艘航母——而第三以及可能第四艘航母也正在建造中。
