我国杂交水稻在非洲创高产纪录！网友：这才是该上热搜的事

那个从小在课本里读到的名字——“杂交水稻之父”袁隆平，今天又一次让人们热血沸腾。

非洲岛国马达加斯加，由于水稻种植技术落后，每年需要进口数十万吨大米。

Madagascar has the world’s second longest history of rice planting, only second to Asian countries. However, outdated rice breeding and the extensive management hindered its rice production. It had to import 200,000 to 400,000 tons of rice annually. 

马达加斯加拥有世界第二长的水稻种植历史，仅次于亚洲国家。然而，水稻种植技术落后，管理粗放，阻碍了水稻的生产。它每年必须进口20万至40万吨大米。

不过据央视新闻报道，马达加斯加气候条件复杂，在袁隆平院士指导下，中国农业技术专家成功培育出3种适合当地土壤气候的高产杂交水稻种子。使用后，水稻产量达到每公顷10.8吨，远高于当地一般每公顷3吨的产量。未来，我国杂交水稻将有望解决非洲国家的粮食安全问题。

2007年以来，共有二十多位来自中国的农业技术专家在马达加斯加推广杂交水稻种植技术，累计推广杂交水稻4万公顷，增产稻谷12万吨以上。

Though Africa is generally rich in land resources and enjoys favorable conditions for farming, the continent still suffers from low agricultural production and food security problems.

非洲土地资源总体丰富，农业生产条件优越，但农业生产水平低，粮食安全问题突出。

Changsha has been playing an important role in China-Africa agricultural cooperation. It has the world-leading hybrid rice technology, which is pioneered by agricultural scientist Yuan Longping. The city could provide African countries with such agricultural expertise, so that they could transition from dependency on foreign aid to self-sufficiency.

In 2010, experts from Changsha began helping Madagascar to localize hybrid rice. Since then, the country has raised 20,000 hectares of hybrid rice fields, with each hectare producing about 7 tons on average. The country's 25 million people have now become self-sufficient on food.

Long Ping High-Tech, which is named after Yuan Longping the agricultural expert, has periodically carried out technical assistance projects in Africa, and provided training to some 3,600 officials and agricultural specialists in almost 50 African countries.

为了在马达加斯加复杂的气候条件下推广杂交水稻种植技术，一批又一批援非专家克服重重困难、进行多种试验，经过11年的努力，成功培育出具有高产、耐旱、抗洪、抗倒伏、优质等优良特性的杂交水稻品种。

Zhang Lijun, general manager of Yuan Longping's Agricultural Development Co., Ltd., has stayed in Madagascar for 11 years. He witnessed the localization of hybrid rice in Africa. He brought Chinese agricultural experts a batch after a batch. During this period, hybrid rice rooted in Madagascar with great production.

袁隆平的农业发展有限公司总经理张立军已在马达加斯加工作11年。他见证了杂交水稻在非洲的本地化过程。他迎来送往一批又一批中国农业专家。在此期间，杂交水稻在马达加斯加生根发芽，产量巨大。

“We selected a number of hybrid rice varieties for comparative testing in Madagascar. After 11 years of trial demonstration and promotion, we successfully selected and approved 5 hybrid rice varieties.” Zhang Lijun introduced that these five hybrid rice varieties have excellent characteristics on high yield, drought tolerance, flood tolerance, lodging resistance, and high quality. In April this year, the first large-scale hybrid rice had a successful production of seeds.

“我们筛选了多个杂交水稻品种在马达加斯加进行比较试验。经过11年的试种推广，成功选育出5个杂交水稻品种。张立军介绍说，这5个杂交水稻品种具有高产、耐旱、抗洪、抗倒伏、优质等优良特性。今年4月，第一批大规模杂交水稻成功生产出种子。

At present, Madagascar is the country with the largest area and the highest yield of hybrid rice in Africa. Nearly 20,000 hectares of land have been planted with hybrid rice, and the annual yield of rice is 60,000 tons. The average yield is more than double that of the local varieties.

目前，马达加斯加是非洲杂交水稻种植面积最大、产量最高的国家。杂交水稻种植面积近2万公顷，水稻年增产6万吨。平均产量是当地品种的一倍以上。

除了马达加斯加，中国的杂交水稻已经在非洲16个国家结出了沉甸甸的稻穗。

The Hunan Agricultural Committee data shows that, the hybrid rice planting area overseas reached 7 million hectares, making an average yield at least 20% higher than local breeds. Hunan’s hybrid rice pilots in 16 African countries, including Egypt, the Republic of Guinea, and Liberia, achieved notable success, with a per hectare yield at least 2 tons more than the local breeds. 

湖南省农业委员会的数据显示，海外杂交水稻种植面积达到700万公顷，平均产量至少比当地品种高出20%。湖南在包括埃及、几内亚和利比里亚在内的16个非洲国家进行的杂交水稻试验取得了显著的成功，每公顷产量至少比当地品种高出2吨。
