BANK荣幸宣布艺术家海蒂·芙欧特参展比利时Kortrijk市的PLAY艺术节，呈现其大型装置作品“当世界一片混乱无望时”。PLAY于6月23日开幕，包括了如保罗·麦卡锡，劳伦斯·韦纳，皮埃尔·比斯姆斯，马丁·克里德，汉斯-彼得·费尔德曼，皮皮洛蒂·瑞斯特，威姆·德沃伊，卡斯滕·霍勒，道格拉斯·戈登和菲利普·帕雷诺等当代艺术家的作品，将持续至11月11日。

BANK is proud to announce artist Heidi Voet's work When All the World Is A Hopeless Jumble is presented at PLAY, a headstrong city festival featuring 40 artists such as Paul McCartney, Lawrence Weiner, Pierre Bismuth, Martin Creed, Hans-Peter Feldmann, Pipilotti Rist, Wim Delvoye, Carsten Höller, Douglas Gordon and Philippe Parreno etc. The festival is organised from 23 June till 11 November 2018 taking over the centre of Kortrijk, Belgium.

“当世界一片混乱无望时”由彩虹色的路障围栏组成，艺术家以这样一种有趣的方式表达了对压迫、希望、以及反抗方式的思考。这个作品的标题来源于著名歌曲《Somewhere Over the Rainbow》（电影《绿野仙踪》主题曲，电影改编自李曼·法兰克·鲍姆写于1990年的小说）原版的第一句歌词。而女主角朱迪·嘉兰在电影里演唱的是改编后的版本。在1938年的政治形势下，这首歌描绘了一个在彩虹彼端没有烦恼的世界。警察和安全部队用于控制人群的全球通用路障被艺术家排布成了一个巨大的圆形。在作品“当世界一片混乱无望时”里，这些通常意味着限制和禁令的围栏成为了对自由、多样性和想象力的欢乐呼吁。

When All the World Is A Hopeless Jumble uses crowd-control barriers and prismatic colors as a playful statement on repression, hope, and strategies of resistance. The title of the work alludes to the original opening line of the eminent ballad from the movie The Wizard of Oz, an adaptation of the 1900 children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum. The first verse of the lyrics was eventually edited when sung by Judy Garland for the movie. Written in 1938, a moment in history at times compared to the current political situation, the song narrates the desire to be over the rainbow where a trouble-free world lies. The grey, galvanized barricades, which are globally employed to control and restrain crowds by police and security forces, are placed in a large sphere. Where usually the barricades limit and restrict, in When All the World Is A Hopeless Jumble they become a mischievous demand for freedom, diversity and imaginative play.

海蒂·芙欧特（1972年出生于比利时），以其前卫、幽默的当代艺术创作被广泛认可。目前主要在欧洲和亚洲开展艺术实践，创作中常使用两地的资源和资料作为其实践的观念素材。其艺术体系可被概括为日常生活和材料的奇妙结合。其作品曾在上海当代艺术博物馆，上海当代艺术馆、杭州纤维艺术三年展，台北IT Park，比利时WIELS当代艺术中心，洛杉矶L&M Arts，和立陶宛当代艺术中心展出。此外，其作品也是上海K11的永久陈列。

HEIDI VOET (b. 1972, Belgium)  is recognised for her playful and provocative practice. She splits her time between Asia and Europe, often using resources and references from both areas for conceptual fodder in her work. Her artistic enterprise can be characterized by a wondrous engagement of everyday life and materials. Her work has been showcased at the Power Station of Art, Shanghai; MoCA, Shanghai; Hangzhou Fiber Art Triennial; IT Park, Taipei, Taiwan, WIELS Contemporary Art Centre, Brussels; L&M Arts, Los Angeles and CAC Lithuania. Her work is also on permanent display at chi K11, Shanghai.

PLAY艺术节从2018年6月23日开始持续到10月11日，来自18个国家40位艺术家的60件当代艺术作品将在Kortrijk市的16个室内外场所展出，人们可以在城市各个角落沉浸在视觉艺术的独特世界里。

PLAY is a headstrong city festival organised from 23 June till 11 November 2018 that takes over the centre of Kortrijk with contemporary artworks. 40 artists originating from 18 countries are displaying 60 artworks at 16 locations in Kortrijk. People can immerse in the unique world of visual art at diverse indoor and outdoor locations in the city.
